Awesome game and graphics! It all blends really well.
The audio balancing could use a little work. It kinda flip-flopped between too-quiet, and too-loud for me.
awesome game! I love the cult theme and concept of the game. It was fun to try and balance my resources and I like the art style of the game. I would've liked a few more options for what could happen, I think I saw every scenario multiple times in my playthru. Overall great work, I enjoyed my playthru!
Great 1-bit aesthetic! The story was fun, though it felt like in a single run there are a lot of repeated events. Very good entry!
the cult mood here is so good, everything comes together really well — great humorous writing, awesome 1-bit art, and a wild change of soundscape that sells the difference between each side of the operation. there were some lines through the text, which looked a bit weird, but other than that the entire presentation is superb.
the gameplay was interesting too, albeit lacking clarity and I had to stare at my numbers while clicking a choice to understand the consequences. after a while it felt a bit repetitive as the same choices kept appearing, and some choices seemed to have a “correct” answer that I just picked every time. hunger confused me a bit because it’s the only resource that’s supposed to be kept low — it makes sense when considering the resource name, but it’s weird that it’s opposite of the others. also, I think the pacing could be improved a bit by letting the transitions be skipped or fast-forwarded. I beat it on my second attempt, which felt reasonable.
overall great entry, only lacking some clarity and variation in choices.
The art work and concept are really solid! The choices felt good, but I also felt like the outcomes were weird. Maybe show how the balance before selecting an option? I also never found a way to build wealth, so I went broke a couple times. Eventually got the max power ending. Good work!
Yeah completely agree with this. I was really happy with the art and direction but not the execution of the actual gameplay options etc. Really underestimated the balancing of the resource management and then ran out of time to polish the mechanics. Thanks for checking it out!
the artstyle is so good and I can't help but to check it out!
Love the 1-bit artwork -and the contrast in audio!
Awesome work!
I would have loved to have the details of the resources used by each option – I lost by choosing an option I thought I could afford haha!
Man this was awesome! The one bit art style and limited color pallet really brought a concurrent theme to the game. One of my favorites so far!
Love 1-bit art. Interesting approach, good work
Very polished 1-bit art! Perfectly executed style. I failed almost immediately, I don’t think I’d make a very good ruthless cult leader :)
Great work!
Loved the art and polish on this one!
i like all the little animations :] also quite a few unique prompts for a jam game, good job
Cool little game. I really liked how cheery the music was above ground compared to the drone when appeasing the Old One. The tonal change made me chuckle a bit. Nice work!
I loved the design of the monster. It's a cool concept and well executed!
I am in LOVE with this art style! It works so wonderfully. The writing is amazing, too. Nice one!
