Cool small puzzle game. The art is outstanding, especially for a game jam game!

Gameplay mechanics are cool, but I feel like they could be taught to the player better. I finished all levels without understanding how the door he teleports to is chosen or which direction he runs at after going through a door. I just removed all doors I put before and quickly put doors where the next part is. I think it would be less frustrating when you fail and more rewarding when you win if the player understands what is going on.

I haven't made a puzzle game before, but I think they usually teach each little quirk of the game logic in a small level where you can't proceed unless you understand it. Longer levels don't encourage trying out how the mechanics work since you lose progress.

But that is honestly nitpicking since I had a lot of fun while playing and wanted to play more levels! Music fits the gameboy vibe perfectly as well.

Thank you for the kind words! I was really happy with the sound design in this game too.

And yes, I honestly really agree with the point about the mechanics not being very intuitive. I sort of ran out of time before playtesting enough, so after I submitted the game  I realized that I never explained how the teleportation logic actually works (so I quick-fixed by explaining it in the How-to-play section). But 100% you're right. The player is instantly thrown into a level with hazards and no real explanation of how the doors work.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely try to improve on the "teaching the player" aspects of devving!
