I don't quite understand the special object implementation or why the cursor moves random instead of placing the pixels the way you want to. Overall your game/program does what is promises, but the game-/workflow is not intuitive, adding examples might help.

EDIT: Setting the cursor speed to a high value results in a funny outcome. :D

Great concept but it would be cool to have some examples to follow. I'm not sure how to use this to paint a door. I love the music/visual sync though.

Great concept! It would be really fun with some painting scenarios that you mentioned in another comment, very peaceful.

Interesting concept!  It's like a mix of procedural music and Conway's Game of Life.

I wish I could speed up the tempo to see the canvas filled with some pattern, it feels too slow now, I think it could sound more musical too this way.

The special object is non existent, you can draw it of course but the special object could have been anything else as well and it wouldn't have made any difference to this submission.

It was a relaxing experience nonetheless, I feel like with some soft soundfont and a lot of reverb this could be even better. Maybe even multiple brushes at the same time doing different length patterns?

Liked the audio and idea, not sure how much it related to the theme & special object. Found myself having a lot of fun and jaming out.

Glad to hear, that you had fun. My idea for the theme was that you add notes and add pixels, while being able to integrate the special object.

Probably should have made the first level be that you have to redraw a door, but as it is with jams, there is just so much time

neat music toy idea even if it feels a bit unrelated to the jam.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Could you elaborate a bit more, why you think so?

My idea was, that you are adding more in two different game mechanical senses by adding notes and paint and you are able to draw the special object.

Interested in your thoughts

Very interesting idea. Not sure I'd quite call it a "game" but definitely an enjoyable experience and a novel concept. Well done!

Yeah, after testing the final mvp, there wasn't enough time to add some kind of scenarios, where you have to repaint something.

Glad you enjoyed the game though :)

This is a really cute fun idea! I had fun but let's just say I'm no Davinci lol. Some nice background music to play with could add a nice touch! Good job.

Thanks for the kind words. Have you tried playing multiple notes at the same time creating an accord? Makes you at least feel like Mozart :D
