Lovely piano work here, and the percussion brings things some really cool directions. A dynamic and enjoyable offering, nice work overall!

ooo, the overall ambience and energy is nice — it reminds me of chiller tracks that play for surprisingly frustrating sections...like the Time Rifts from A Hat in Time! :3c

the experimentation with switching between drum loops was a nice touch, though the gaps in between loops and the subtle change in fidelity of each loop is a bit jarring. however, i do think more experimental production would work if you envisioned a platforming level in, say, a more chaos-themed level (for lack of better wording)!

Drums were a little too loud for me, though I did like the switch up in tone a lot! Just feel like it blocked out a lot of the other instruments

I appreciate how human the piano is, combined with the somber melody it contrasts well with the breakbeats to keep the vibe sad and slow while also still keeping the energy you'd expect from a platformer. Switching up the breakbeats kept things fresh, but that "UH" seemed really out of place given the tone of the song.

The drums kicking in after just the solo piano in the intro was a bit of a surprise, but actually pretty cool mood switch.

Like others mentioned the UGH grunt felt a bit off, but i think to me it was mostly since it was very much in the forefront. Which made me think of how it would feel pushed a bit more to the background, with a wet reverb or just volume or a combination of both.

If you added another more contrasting in tone part to this, i think it would elevate the track even higher.

Just my subjective feels i got when listening, but still, good job!

I loved the piano. I'm a sucker for piano music.  Didn't really like the guy's "UH" though.  It felt slightly off beat. Other than that, good job!

Nice work! Enjoyed the vibes! Sometimes the downbeat was delayed by a few milliseconds, and that was a bit jarring.

Nice vibes though!

what a deeeeeep deeeep sub bass oml. that low pitched UH in the breakbeat sample made me and my teammate grin too.

Good track!

The percussion coming in was super nice and added much needed texture. I do think however they were a tad off in a way. Like changing the pitch made them sound too fake and the pauses sounded like mistakes.

The grunts were funny though!

I found the breaks to be a little wonky and offbeat, the low pitched "uh" made me grin.

Slight Celeste vibes + Minecraft nether vibes + own cool identity = successful platforming feeling! I like how the pace changes, it makes the song interesting to listen to, as you keep wondering what else might appear? How did you come up with the idea? But apart from that, cool track!

thanks!

i sort of just like thought about the word “freedom” and then i just went like “piano, strings, breaks”

and then i kinda rushed this thing together lmao

Well, it worked! hahaha

The piano in this is lovely and pensive. Great choice of progression and the subtle supporting instrumentation is really nice. The drums coming in just before the half-way point definitely change the vibe a little, but the piece continues to remain rather pensive throughout. The dusty sounding beats remind me of something Yamaoka would do back in the Silent Hill 1 days - not sure if this was intentional, but good work! Made for a fun listen.

The drums are cool! Well done :)
