Description
An electronic music soundtrack for a courtroom drama game. Composed in FLStudio and powered by Pneuma and RF-Drums.
Track 1 - Detained: Mina and her family are captured, and Mina separated from them in order to coerce them. Images of Mina emerge in the media, quietly pleading for freedom.
Track 2 - Stand for Justice: You decide to fight for Mina and her family in a court of law, determined to expose the truth and demand a fair trial and their freedom.
Track 3 - Truth Over Tyranny: The Judge carefully weighs the evidence and demands satisfaction from The State. After a tense and difficult trial, you manage to force the court to order the release of Mina and her family, absolving them of any wrongdoing and securing their freedom.
After seeing the amazing theme artwork, I wanted a soundtrack for a game that told a story about how freedom cannot just be yearned for - we have to stand up and fight for each other's freedom.
The instruments and music follows the narrative -dueling aspects of idealism and harsh sounds of dystopia.

Woohoo! The person who made a soundtrack that is close to my spirit! I appreciate it :>
Detained - The overall atmosphere is similar to a distorted Subnautica + something dark and gloomy creepy... in short - I'm a fan of synths! And I like this "pluck" rhythm in the second part of the track.
Stand for Justice - Rock melody, drum machine (which I LOVE!). By God, this track makes you really want to take and walk through the park with a cool view... And black glasses!
Truth Over Tyranny - The first track was more... I don't even know... more cruel? :D
In general - I really liked your publication! I think, among all the "especially synthetic in sound", yours is my favorite, heh...
P.S. Rawr!
Love the transition around 1:20 in "Detained." IMO, the track drags a touch after that and IMO could probably have been a little bit shorter. Regardless, the big, sexy double-layered synth towards the end feels like a really good payoff and finishes the track up nicely. "Stand for Justice" revisits the first track's theme and picks up the energy a bit. The percussion sounds great here and really fits the vibe of (at least in my head, from an 80's TV show or something) a courtroom. "Truth Over Tyranny" has some cool progression and is headed in the right direction, but ultimately feels like it falls a little bit short as a conclusion. Would have loved to see a bit more energy towards the end, or maybe some slightly different synth choices in relation to previous tracks to keep things fresh.
Overall. an enjoyable listen and a solid OST for 48 hours. Nice work!
Big Ace Attorney vibes with Stand for Justice, like cyber-Phoenix Wright. Great use of synths!
As old school composer. You work refer to your ability about design and mix electronic sounds is amazing. that's what I'm trying to achieve in electronic music someday. Well done!
I like the bass on the intro, the lead saw could be a bit lowered in volume in my opinion. The delayed synth is also cool, a bit loud though.
The second track reminds me of Ace Attorney, more precisely the sections just before a trial, so you really succeeded on the atmosphere. Calm, but still a bit tense and mysterious.
The final track borrows some instruments from the opener, which is a nice touch to keep the tracks related. It could be more emotional though, If I wasn't reading the descriptions of the tracks I would assume that this one plays during a normal part of the game instead of an important section.
Good job!
Suuuuper hip 80s vibes!! Love the sounds, like the pacing, great work!
very nicely done keeping up the motifs through your soundtrack preview! i'm glad the percussion picked up in "Truth Over Tyranny" starting at 1:05, though i honestly would've wanted even more intensity at this stage in the videogame potentially! otherwise, the snare only hitting on the fourth beat is pleasantly irregular, nice choice! ^o^
i really like the theming you chose to connect to this jam's theme of "freedom"! i think it hits well for me considering recent events, to be honest.
awesome stuff real nice how you built up a really fitting texture with your synths, definitely matches the story you're trying to tell. Good work :)
1 day, 20 hours before the deadline
Pretty frickn solid for 4 hours of work my lord..
There's definitely some solid sound work and a good leitmotif throughout the tracks.
Thanks, but i have to admit that that figure is a bit off. I was about 1.6 pieces done when I took a break, started the itch project and got that squared away, finished the second, and then the next morning I finished the third and added it. Still - I DO tend to wrap early.
liking the noir sort of approach to the soundtrack - not what i'd expect for a game in which you play as an attorney but it works quite well. the 80s saws, bells, and linn drums all over this soundtrack are really cool. well done!
Interesting interpretation of the theme! Some really nice choices of patches at play in these - big fan of the bass voicings in particular. Nice and deep with just the right amount of grit and edge when necessary. The lead lines were pretty good too, backed up by some nice supporting instrumentation to keep everything bolstered and moving along. I like how the latter end of Detained has similar vibes and progressions to Truth Over Tyranny, of which I think is my favorite track of the bunch.
Solid work! Best of luck. :)
I love your interpretation of the theme and how you spun the first theme into a different track for your third, great tunes!
very much enjoyed the groovy synths in this entry! i really liked how the tone picked up on the latter half of "detained", got me feeling pumped!!! also love how you brought back the motif in "truth over tyranny" but now there's a hint of resolve/determination woven within the track :D
this really reminds me of the ace attorney OST and i think i saw you mentioned that somewhere! overall awesome work!!!!
I think what you have going on here fits very well with the theme as well as the setting of your hypothetical game! I also liked the synth patches throughout the tracks! Solid work!
Really enjoyed listening starsickle! Always enjoy the synthwave sounds but i also loved the thematic development going on too. And 100% sounded like a courtroom drama, it also reminded me of gba games i used to play like Alex Rider's Stormbreaker and like marvel beatemup games. Loved it!
I envisioned something more like Ace Attorney. Obviously less silly, but yeah. I'm glad everyone seems to get it!
Ace attorney was definitely what came to mind so u nailed that, I just also then started thinking about those random games from the nostalgia 😅
Stand for Justice is my favorite, reminds me of the Cyborg Justice soundtrack. Love the 80s vibe overall, I think you should've went all in with some crazy room reverb for the drums. The synth choices were great, too. Nice job!
I recently played a game called "Look Outside" and the music you made reminded me a lot of it! the crunchy instruments especially are nice on the ears!
"Listen, kid. I've gone up against these types before and they don't play by the rules. You want a fair trial? I can help, but this 'aint out of the goodness of my heart... I've lost something too."
Love the synthwavey vibes in this, can totally picture all of these in a futuristic Phoenix Wright kind of game. It has a dark, moody atmosphere with an underlying anger, especially in "Detained" that I think especially matches the image. It's like I can smell the rain on the cigar-stained concrete. Great work!
I could see myself play street of rage again xD
Great job overall, I think a bit more time for mixing would have made it even better, but crunchtime is hell and considering you got 3 tracks in, got nothing really bad to say, other that I LOVE "Stand for Justice"!
It's so gritty, well done!!!!
