Nice one, controls are wonky but the grappling tongue is great. The mouse sensitivity and the sudden camera change when sprinting is kinda disorientating tho. I love the silly title screen

I enjoyed it way more than I was hopping for. If it's truly your first good job! I liked the idea and actually was hopping for more games of this "speedrun" genre to appear on this game jam.
On the other hand there is a lot of things to learn from:
- Mouse sensitivity is pain. Might work on your PC but slider for adjusting would be nice. Same thing applies for FOV.
- Audio is very bad and repetetive, probably the weakest side of your game.
- 3D is generaly not good for online web export. Not because of slow PCs but it just performs badly even on high-end PCs.
- Objective is to "go as fast as you can" and yet there is: no timer, no reset button, no leaderboard and otherwise no actuall reason to "go as fast as you can".
- Textures being applied wrongly. Textures that are streched are generaly not plesant to look at and I wouldn't recommend them.
- I am able to spam really fast the "tongue mechanic" and simply finish the game in less than 30 seconds. Maybe delay could fix that? (just an idea)
- Web page could use some love.
Otherwise I enjoyed the game :)
Neat! Absolutely terrifying to learn that frogs can move with such speed, but I guess you have to do what you've got to do to survive the lavapocalypse. I liked using the tongue, it was clearly the OP movement option but also the most fun way to navigate, so I pretty much cheesed the level by sticking to the ceiling haha. I liked the little detail of the frog shadow actually, that caught me by surprise.

The textures kinda threw me at first, but wowza what a concept! There are definitely some bones to moving around quickly in this environment, and the "shwing" on the tongue was nice. I do wish the environment was more frog themed, and more levels, but as a proof of concept, it's great. Oh, and music!
Great job!
*I left a comment here earlier, but it was for another game, not representative of yours. Sorry!
It's fun! Despite not the best visual, the game is really interesting to play! Good job! Thanks for sharing.
Kinda hard to look at the tutorial text. But still a fun game nevertheless! Good job !
The tutorial text took me too long to notice lol, barely any contrast to the background so yeah it was hard to read.
And the tongue mechanic made everything else seem useless to me , when I found out I used used that to beat the game and ignored sprinting and dashing entirely.
Sorry if I sound to harsh but can't there's gotta be criticism with the praise to huh XD
Anyway wish there was more levels, i like the goofy vibe the game has and I get how tough 3d can be so i applaud you for making one in such a short time :)
Cool game and i felt the pain of making a game in 3d and u only are 2d game dev like me
author here the level in the thumbnail was completed but the game broke for some reason and i dont exactly know why im really sorry for that maybe its because i did the game in godot 4.4.1 stable which does not have an export template and i had to use a template for an older version i will try to fix it during voting period if thats possible but for now it is how it is
I like the idea, but the implementation is a bit so-so. I also can't move on to the next level.
The controls seem fine but the portal doesn't seem to go to the cool level shown in the thumbnail. Assuming the 2nd level didn't get completed. Could be fun with some more levels and Frog music
