Loved fleeing for my life, graphics, audio, and atmosphere worked really well for me, I enjoyed my flailing around.

Fantastic job!

It's an interesting concept, but it's not entirely clear what needs to be done. Thank you for sharing your game!

I really like this echolocation-like gameplay mechanic!! Very unique, it isn't something I think I've seen before!

I will say, I was a bit confused when I first played because I was loaded into a randomly-generated map (I assume) and the only path was a straight line with a spider on it LOL

Also, I think maybe a cooldown on the ribbet-ing would be nice, because at the moment, you can just spam it for infinite visibility and it removes a potential layer of skill expression. The spiders are also pretty difficult to run from once they have you in their sights, but I might just be bad at the game :P

Keep it up on this game, I'd love to see where it goes!

Cool project for this jam. Must've been fun to make; good job!

Probably the best implementation of theme and limitation. But the execution is poorly done :( but don't keep your head down ! learn and thrive!

I like the main mechanic here. you can only see when you croaking... I feel like a real frog now hahaha.... The level is just too hard for me tho

Cool concept but i don't understand what to do. is There some win condition or i just have to avoid the spiders? and i think frog needs some animation in the dark it's hard to understand if i am moving or not.

This is a really cool combination of arcade and horror, I think it's really impressive that you got the two to work together so well. It is a bit cheeseable if you just keep running around as quick as you can and croak as much as you need to, but there's still some fear that they'll catch up or you'll walk into a corner or something. I'd be curious what this game feels like after you got some playtesting and spent time fine tuning different movement parameters.

Cool Concept!

Thank you. Ever since the first preview of The Unfinished Swan came out, I'm captivated by this idea of 'the world is invisible until you do something'

I love the dark atmosphere with the pulsing lights! Sometimes the map feels impossible to beat.

I liked the difficulty, took a few tries to beat. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! There is no progression, so there had to be difficulty :)

I like the croaking mechanic, very satisfying seeing everything slowly light up.

The game feels very RNG, like you need to get lucky that you'll run into your home somehow but thats okay i guess thats just the nature of this game.

But boy are those spiders fast, i think the diagonal movement is what makes them fast otherwise it would be just the same as you.

But overall great job on this game! Pretty cool idea :)

Thanks!:)

Yeah I didn't have time to build a proper maze creation algorithm, so you have to wonder around to find the final lily pad
