Deep... very, very deep... I'm a big fan of deep bass, random bells and a bit of sad melodies...
Definitely a cool job!

I thought of the idea of freedom as a desire and as beeing sometime a reflection of feeling pressured or overwhelmed by events and daily routines. Aslo I wanted to approach it with a peacefull and tiny sad vibe, similar to my head is empty or TileKid influences. This is supposed to be an intro to this theme and should have been followed by another track today unexistant.
Title is supposed to hint the choices and decisions one can be expected to face each day even when events sum up and control might feel lost. It could also refer to the call of the void feeling or beeing confronted to no-returning-back decisions.
Sadly I didn't get to make a follow up track and could only work an afternoon (and evening) on this competition, so I know it is too short. But at least I tried and still had fun... :)

How does it fit the theme?

man, i feel really forlorn and unnerved listening to this track... you did a great job combining gritty foley and gentle synths to create such an atmosphere!! :~)
i think the ending was interestingly abrupt in that the shortness of it really adds to the feel of the melancholy atmosphere — the desire for freedom and yet it is cut off in such a frustrating, despair-inducing manner. i'd love to still hear the other work you originally planned for the jam!!
Really like how spacious this sounded! Aesthetically reminds me bit of C418's minecraft music.
Good stuff!
Oh hell yeah, the mix and arrangement are so texturally rich and descriptive. I completely feel that feeling of staring into nothingness from feeling overwhelmed and telling yourself that everything's going to be ok. Do wish there was more though, darned time limits ;)
I would totally imagine this track in a game like Omori for example. It's sad and deep but not only. It has some tenderness and a bit of hope as well. Emotionally complex, I like it. Good job !
Production on this is wicked. That bass coming in feels all-enveloping. Never quite earth-shattering levels of movement though, which I can appreciate. Clean bass like this can add powerful movement. The elements laid atop of it are really nice; simple but fitting of what is needed. Keeps the focus on the lower-end of the mix which is pretty immaculate. I think this is a really interesting interpretation of the theme because it gives me a certain unease that I love to get lost in, but I can also see it being liberating - especially as that filter opens up towards the end and the bass swallows almost everything up whole.
Solid work, this is a unique submission and was fun to listen to.
The bass is all encompassing which is really nice.
I also liked the little percussive elements.
Wow this production was high quality!
I'm always ready for a 1 song OST here and I'm all about this one
This is a very solid ambient track! I wish the background strings were just a tad bit louder and I felt like it would've added even more to the atmosphere you got going on here, but otherwise, this is solidly done and cohesive in terms of the connection to your ideals!
