Doing my comment rounds after the jam due to time constraints previously.
So for me this had the potential to be my #1 that I played during the jam. My only issue was I feel like the audio could have been substantially better here and you would've had a potential #1 rated game on your hands; the voice acting addition was great though. All in all this was a very good entry though, especially once the Vampire Survivor-esque mechanics really start ramping up. I also enjoyed the teleport mechanics with the dungeon crawling and such. Very nice job!
Love the graphic style! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.
Great game! I had a blast playing it to the end. I really liked the VS style combat system, very effective. It got a bit too easy after the first fight (I only upgraded damage, fire rate and bullet speed), but it's better that way for a jam game. I would have loved to have a final boss fight, maybe not the chicken since it helped a lot, but for the time frame, this is extremely polished and just the right length.
Congrats!
Really nice game, I liked the atmosphere.
Dubbing and sound design are pretty good.
The game isn't too long, which I consider a very good thing for a game jam.
I have one minor regret about the secrets: I don't really like the idea of going through walls without feedback. For exemple, finding a button to open the wall, or a wall that disappears as you go through it (like an hologram) would be more pleasant.
Really nice entry! This is a really good looking game. I was engaged by the spacecraft, I enjoyed the puzzles, and I love Vampire Survivors so seeing that combat and progression mechanic was really excellent. It was a lot of fun. You have excellent level design skills and I look forward to playing more games by you.
Right off the bat, this is one of the few entries I've played with voice acting, so props for that!
I also love the look of the game, with the 3D MS paint aesthetic. The perspective and movement feel good, and I appreciate the tooltip text when hovering over things.
I also liked the little teleporter puzzles, tempted the player to try all angles to look for treasures which was neat.
As for the combat, I admit I'm not a big fan of Vampire Survivors, so I don't think I was ever gonna love it. I did appreciate how much nicer the upgrades made the battles feel though, as enemies died faster.
I didn't get all the treasures sadly, only got 9/12, if I had more time left in the ratings period I might have gone back to find all of them.
But I enjoyed the game overall, great work!
Great game and a cool genre-mashup (I have too many hours in Vampire Survivors...). The crawl gameplay was excellent and I really like the 3D pixel art. I enjoyed the chicken voice acting.
The Survivors gameplay was okay but I think there's some things missing. It should show the time remaining and how many kills before the next upgrade. It's also possible to kill all the monsters before the timer runs out and then you're standing around with nothing to do, potentially for quite a while. Either the sequence should end or monsters should be infinite. One time I also seemed to encounter a bug where a battle sequence never ended and I had to restart.
Really enjoyed this overall. I guess I'm not so great at finding the crystals though - I only got 5.
Awesome! Nice to get the odd game with audio narration.
Graphics and movement were all perfect. Treasure Hunting puzzles were well-executed.
At first I wasn't sure about the Genre Fusion aspect. Like it was fine, but a bit toothless. But once you started introducing different enemy types, and the rougelike upgrades it got really fun.
(Not sure if in the final encounter I had to avoid the holes in the floor, or if that was just how they looked.)
Top tier entry!
Thanks for playing!
You don’t have to avoid holes in the final encounter, it’s just a decoration :)
Thanks for the video, it’s always insightful to see someone play!
Really like this game a lot, very nice art style, atmosphere is very good and the combat being vampire survivors not what I expected but was fun part to the game. The voice acting was a nice bonus to the game and was funny being commanded by a chicken. I also like exploring the place was good looking around, the art helped a lot with that.
So far this has been one of my favourites i played in the jam, you should be proud as you did amazing work on this.
Thanks for playing!
What was off-putting about the combat, anything in particular we can iterate on to improve it?
Nothing off putting over the combat, i was just suprise to see that style of combat in the game. It was fun to play and it made for nice change to the game.
Love this!
Perfect movement, great perspective, clever use of spinners (although animated transition give them away easily) Nice usage of illusion walls and clever teleporter puzzles. On top of this we get a Vampire Surviours battle.
My only complain is that I want to play more of it :-)
Well done!
Thanks for playing!
We kind of think of this kind of spinners as “disorientation spinners”. They try to disorient you, but not completely fool you, like vertigo. We haven’t implemented the “illusionary spinners” in this entry, though it might be a great thing to have in the engine - absolutely seamless disorientation toolkit :D
For the playtime we’ve specifically didn’t want to make it long, so people can go through all of the content and see all the stuff without repeating ourselves too much. We are brewing some ideas of how we can expand on this one, and after the jam we’ll definitely make a patched build (already have a bunch of improvements).
What a fantastic entry! I really enjoyed this one. Great assets, great voices, solid puzzles!
I have no substantial criticisms about this entry, I loved it!

Thanks for playing!
Your videos are super helpful and insightful, I’m already writing down some of the things I’ve noticed and you’ve mentioned during your play!
The interactivity with the environment is a really cool touch / effort you've put in the game. Also the environment itself is nice with a good atmoshpere and good graphics.
The survival genre fusion is a good idea although I felt it a bit slow - I have some hours in survivor games so I'm a bit burned out :D
I didn't really like the voice acting although it's more of a subjective opinion.
Thanks for playing!
Survival is too slow at the start, we’re going to fix that after the jam, it sounds like you should be able to kill enemies and get your level faster, but maybe the number of enemies should be greater (and they should be more dangerous).
Yeah, voice acting was done in the last moments, so it’s of a poor quality, we have learned our mistake and will incorporate such things earlier in the jam, so we’ll have time to polish or to replace it with something else.
This was a really cool fusion I never even thought about. The survival got gradually more challenging and had different enemies which was great. The puzzles were nice, not too hard but I still felt smart when I figured them out and the crystals was a nice touch to encourage exploration. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
Cool game. I got stuck in one of the survivor sections ButHadAGoodTime. Shooting Sounds Were Tough. WhyDon'tSpacesWorkRight. Anyway ,Great Work
Thanks for playing!
By “stuck” you mean that your character kept shooting and nothing happened? There’s a bug, when one of the enemies is pushed away from their comrades too hard and they end up being too far away from you, that might be it. We’ll definitely fix that after the jam :D
Exited with 5/12 maybe not that good.
Graphics looks nice and there is some nice puzzle ish things to solve.
The minigame was fairly easy but worked ok with the game. Not to many combat breaks.
Didnt really like the voice acting. Some generic beep-bop sounds would have been better I think.
Intro had nice backstory, I liked that.
Thanks for the game!
Thanks for playing!
5/12 is still good in my books, as most of the treasures are hidden! It takes determination to find more than that.
I agree that battles are quite easy to win, with almost no way to fail, but we were expecting some people to die a couple of times at the first interaction with the fox slime swarm, but it looks like their numbers and stats were not enough to kill anyone yet :)
Voice acting was done in the last hours, after the hard crunch, so yeah, it’s very low quality. Though Zooperdan shared an easy technique on the discord chat to make radio voice more convenient and we’ve also learned our lesson about making sounds, music and voice overs in the last hours before submission when exhausted, we’ll plan better next time and incorporate all the sound work sooner rather than later, thus we’ll have time to either polish our sound or, as you’ve suggested, do a beep-bop sfx for speech. Though, in my opinion, voice overs (if done properly with proper quality) serves a good measure to make the player listen/read the story which should add additional immersion. Our another mistake (same as in the previous jam) was to have a wall of text, instead of short bursts of conversation or inner dialogue.
Lovely entry. The dungeon crawling part ticked all the boxes, including secrets, spinners, teleporters, the works. Loved the fact that you are told how many treasures you found each round. The length of the game was perfect. The movement was nice though I would've loved continuous movement on holding the key (the entry has the level of polish where I think this could be the next step).
The survivors minigame was well implemented. I was worried at first that it would be too slow, but once upgrades start rolling it becomes VERY satisfying, so well done on that curve.
And it was the perfect length, given that I managed to finish it :D
Thanks for playing!
At some point I’ve tried implementing continuous movement (in between some other things I was building at that time) and I’ve failed due to key repeat rate which is different on different systems and just forgot about that until now. Thanks for pointing that out, that would be a great addition, indeed, I will just need to implement it the proper way with our own version of key repeat which works in sync with camera animation.
My fav genre fusion so far, found myself just wanting to do the combat haha
Thanks for playing the game!
This was a ton of fun! Crawling mechanics were solid, I loved the tile art for the ship and the vampire-survivor combat is something I'm a huge fan of and there was some great options when leveling up to keep things fresh and progressing. The spinners got me a couple times! I only got 7/12 of the secrets I think, but this will be another one I'll run through off stream to get them off.
A couple of improvements could be having each weapon target something differently, I tended to only focus leveling up the main and sniper weapon, so the slow/short ranged explosive didn't seem to do much because everything died too quickly. If each weapon had individual targeting that could alleviate a bit of that. Additionally, perhaps having more of an indication on what you can interact with. The object highlights or pops up a tooltip or something to make them stand out.
Gameplay at 30s
Thanks for playing and recording it, it is very helpful!
Yes, making that weapon targeting change is a great idea, I’ll look into how it can and should be done in order to feel and look good, thanks!
We haven’t thought about interactable objects really deeply. In my opinion they mostly should be obvious from the geometry and texture, but I guess we need to work on that part. We had a tooltip, but it takes 1s to show up, so it’s not that useful, we’re looking forward to reworking that after the jam, thanks for pointing that out!
This was such a great entry!
The level design was spot on, the graphics were really charming, and I very much enjoyed the Vampire Survivors style combat. You even had some sneaky spinners, zoop would be proud.
The voice acting was hilarious, meat sack! I was not expecting the chicken, and I laughed when I saw it. Great work, both of you!
I found 11/12 secret. Boo. I guess I’ll have to try again :)
Welcome to the 11/12 treasures club. I’m probably the first member of that club (though I know where I’ve missed the last one!). Batisdark really caught us all with treasures.
Though I admit that a couple of things can be improved in treasure hunting as mentioned by previous commenters. We are most likely revisit it after the jam voting ends and do some quality of life improvements here and there and maybe expand it a little bit, so it’ll feel like a complete tiny game.
It was definitely worth it. I missed a treasure in the last level.
The game is excellent. The plot is catchy, the dungeon part looks and controls great and is finely paced with traps, puzzles, secret doors and keycards, and the shooter part feels perfect as well, with the right speeds and difficulty, the monster sprite animations are specially cool too.
Love it!
Thanks! Yep, I bet your character can buy quite a lot with that treasure :D
