I tried to be a good mail sorter, I tried to be accurate...but it was too fun to try to sling mail from across the room. I was not very accurate but when I did get them in, it felt great. Love the art especially in that opening cutscene. Fantastic!

Awesome game. Pretty satisfying.

It's easy to learn, hard to master kind of game.

Some feedback:

-the icons on the letters are too small and should have different colors

-perhaps you could add predefined paths, so the player has to think about the bins positions and not about the throwing angle

Drag and drop feels a bit clunky and also letters would sometimes move on their own after putting them in the mailbox. The game is a bit repetetive, I couldn't finish it cause I got bored, sorry. I liked the visuals though.

Developer

thanks for rating the game and ya the drag and drop does get repetetive but that thanks for giving the game ur time :)

Had a hard time keeping the letters in the bins, the art and intro was neat though

Developer

there is  a bit for learning curve but we are still quite happy to have participated in this jam and thank for your feedback

I love how fluid moving the cards were! It felt super satisfying with all the extra particles. Some feedback is that I think that the images on the postcard could be a little bigger, and I also found a bug where the postcard slides away after being placed in the bin.

Developer

thanks for the feedback and ya we also did notice the postcard sliding bug but we were more focused on finishing the project if we had more time and we werent busy we would have fixed it lol

Interesting concept. The white font on light colored background can be hard to read. I'd recommend a more contrasting background color, or an outline or shadow to the text. Similarly, the symbols could use being a bit more different. Having 3 reds/pinks out of the 6 options they can be a bit too close, especially with the shapes being similar enough at that size. It wasn't too bad, but a bit more differentiation would be good, especially for color blind people.

Developer(+1)

I totally agree we could have pick better colors and the 3 letters being pink is something we should have look into more carefully thanks for your feedback we will keep it in mind for the next game we make

Pretty chill game. I'd recommend making the letter icons bigger and tuning the drag throw mechanic to make it feel a little better. My letters also seemed to float out of the bins. Still though, I enjoyed it! nice job!

Developer

thanks for rating our game really appreciate it

Very cool take on the theme! The cards could be a little bigger to make them easier to see and grab, but it is a very satisfying gameplay! Congrats

Interesting game. Very fun intro. The symbols on the letters could be bigger, though. I had hard time deciding where to put the letter.

Core mechanics were so great, very satisfying to chuck the mail around.

The into was really cute, I fell in love with the protagonist, even if he becomes a disembodied arm later in the game. I agree with Nanbaya: the music was pretty chill, which I don't know if that's what you want. The letter placing felt ok, but if you doubled down on flicking the mail, that would be great. The symbols on the letters were a bit small to be able to see them easily, but the colors helped a lot. Also, I love that it feels grounded in a specific region of the world, because we need more representation in games.

I really like to throw the letters into the mailbox. the game feel great. It could be more messy if the letters spawn at random on the table instead of random on some line instead. The music was a bit too chill for a game like that where you are behind with mail XD Great game

Throwing the envelopes with a flick of your wrist feels truly, great. I think if you doubled down on that you could mine a lot out of this game. Great work on your first GWJ entry!

Developer

thank you, this is the best feeling.its my first game jam.

Fun game! The intro made me chuckle, definitely matches the theme <3

Developer(+1)

thanks glad to hear it made you chuckle :)

I loved the sound effects and the little trails behind the envelopes as I dragged them into each bin! The way that the envelopes slowly migrated around the screen after dragging them definitely added to the chaotic feeling. I think the strawberries and apples could look very similar, so having more distinct sprites or making the envelopes render more crisply at different sizes could help there.

Developer

thanks for the feedback ya it really does seem like the apple and strawberry do really look the same ill need to be more mindfull of how small sprites look really appreciate the feed back

Tried it out, a good game, but I agree with everything Zakari Games says (well, looking at his game - that guy seems to be a pro haha). Full screen would definitely be good, maybe it was developed in full screen? Same as for my game actually - was working in full screen, but then in the browser it was somehow wrong dimensions, so had to switch to window and everything became a bit too tiny)

Developer(+1)

thanks for the feedback i just added away to make the game full sceen I am greatful you try the game out

oh nice! now I found that setting too, haha) I was wondering how do people have that little expand button and it turned out to be just a checkbox.

I loved that we could literally throw the envelopes into the sorting bins.

This game would do well with the full screen option for the HTML player, though, as there were too many fruits/shapes that looked very similar being so small and similar colors.

I also think having some more upbeat, not-chill music would have made the atmosphere a little more hectic as I was a bit confused at the envelope pacing with the chilled out lofi when I started.

Good stuff!

Developer

thanks for the feedback music was really never the strong point of the game and ill be sure to keep in mind you feedback for the next game we work on thanks agian for such wonderful feedback
