Game Description
A relaxing field trip to an art museum with 20 preschoolers

How does your game tie into the theme?
If the students get far enough away from the teacher they run off in random directions. The core mechanic is literally controlling chaos.

Really good for being your first project! The concept works well for this theme.

Thank you!

Tell my wife Hello

Loved the art style and the idea the kids running away was a very funny mechanic and fun to manage i think it fit the theme well but i got stuck multiple times because I couldnt move the children but eventually beat it only missing 4 kids LOL. Pretty cool concept and very creative!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Got 11 of them back, the rest may enjoy their sweet time at museum. Good job!

Developer

I almost put an MIA/POW flag on the game over screen for all the kids that don't make it to the bus

This was awesome! I used to work at a summer camp in my early 20's so I definitely got some PTSD playing this lol
Great idea and use of the theme. The art and music were great too.
Great job!

Such a clever use of the theme. I can't think of a worst kind of chaos to have to handle, in fact they managed to pin me down against a wall right next to the last objective. Had a good time!

As a teacher, I can confirm the 1000% accuracy. This was a great take on the theme!

I used to teach middle school French, way more chill than preschool but still way less chill than adults

The music ramps up the tension way more than I was expecting, haha. And having the kids getting in your way when you're trying to chase after one that's getting away is certainly chaotic. Good work!

This was a lot more fun than I expected! It was fun having to navigate with the kids. Would love to see more obstacles. I like this kind of management game where you have to keep track of the kids. Once I slowed down it was easier, but still had to navigate the tight walls. At one point they trapped me in the corner! haha Great art too!

This is controlled chaos; what a great idea!

I love the inspiration for this and you executed it very well. Great job getting a full game loop in that feels complete. The show don’t tell wildcard was executed but made learning a bit tough. Still, great job.

Developer

Thanks!

pretty cool idea! Fun and short. Kids are a bit chaotic, but hey, they are kids!

Really great idea. I wish this kids would follow a little better but I guess art imitates life eh?

Submitted(+1)

This was really fun! I had to restart a few times because the kids boxed me into a corner and I couldn't push them out of the way, like I would in real life. Not sure if that was intentional or not :)

Developer

I didn't have time to rework the movement--ideally they would never box you in but the workaround was going to be a whistle blast that would make them all run in the opposite direction for 5 seconds (and also absolutely wreck your unit cohesion)

Amazing use of the theme! The randomness of the kids once they were too far was very realistic haha.

Awesome submission! Love it! I barely could get all the kids in the bus :D

This is my favorite way of understanding the theme !

The game is reallly smooth and made me really stressed when I lost the kids. Great game!

Thank you!

New appreciation for the teachers and chaperones who took us on field trips to the art museum.  Nice work!

This one is hands down my favorite of the jam. It's really cute.

This one was pretty charming. Those pesky kids'll get away from you in a sec! At one point, two kids ran off and the rest surrounded me so I couldn't go get them. It was a conspiracy. Great job on this one, your how-to and settings screens were great for having no text. The music was cool, it set a good mood.

I had a fun time with this one! It took a couple tries, but I did manage to get all the children back to the bus in the nick of time. I found that I had to walk carefully around corners and not get too close to a wall where the children could mob me and prevent me from moving.

Developer

I played around with the timing a bit and 4 minutes seemed right on the inside of doable!  I planned to do a more robust movement states setup (the first one I built was complex but with 20 kids you got mobbed the second you stopped moving).  Thanks for playing the game!
