A bit tricky to keep track of your location while navigating but I really like the idea of effectively taxing the player for movement as a way to build tension.
Great atmosphere and visuals for the game. The gameplay, while simple, is brutal. I do like the idea of the step system so it felt more like a puzzle game but felt quite hard as simply going the wrong way can make you lose.
I did enjoy the feel of the game and felt tense too trying to balance time and steps. Overall fun game that is well made.
Man the steps on this are strict. In some spots like just before the large cannisters, one wrong move can doom a run. (On one run I didn’t realize you couldn’t use the large cannister more than once and that did me in.)
I wonder if the main timer is even necessary. Like, early it causes you to rush a bit, but it’s quite a trial and error game, and the steps are so vital that the timer ceases to be an object, and once you collect the mask, basically all the pressure is off.
Unless you get trapped in a doorway as it closes. Which I did. >.>
But very engaging overall. Great work!
One of the most engaging games of this year, even with the timer limit. Sound effects, lights and stuff really cool. Congratulations!!
Got as far as the powercell and then kinda got lost and ran out of oxygen (and almost out of time). I was skeptical at first, but once you mentally map out the first few chambers, the game runs pretty smooth and once you get the tank/mask upgrade, a lot of the pressure is relieved. I was fine without the map, for the most part, but what got me was the very poor lighting towards the end, which made me lose my way at one point and I never recovered.
Still, I really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was spot on, movement was fine, the oxygen/time constraints made it a movement puzzle in the start which was nice.
A solid entry! I played it twice and did not finish it. I felt like I could have drawn a map (or memorized) to be able to finish it but I don’t think I would have enjoyed that.
I think having an in-game map that tracks where you have already traveled would be really helpful to help prevent back tracking, wasting oxygen, and ultimately allowing more people to see your ending without the need to grind the game multiple times.
That said, I really enjoyed the aesthetic and style of the game. Great work!

"YOU WIN"
I like the idea of combining turn-based pressure, so you don't run over the place, and real-time pressure, which lowers the incentive to take the time to map the dungeon, you can but the game seems to tell you it doesn't want you to do it.
Therefore I indeed didn't map the game, and it took me about 10 tries, half of which I died after getting the Maintenance Key, and if I played again I probably still wouldn't consistently reach the pod after I get the Maintenance Key at this point, I was actually very surprised to stumble upon a functional pod during my last run.
I had a lot of fun playing the game, it controls perfectly and the difficulty was exactly how I wanted it to be at the moment. That the dungeon is constructed, partly thanks to fire, so that you have easy access during the ending parts to the tanks you chose to skip in the beginning is cool.
Very nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.
Cool game and nice atmosphere. The oxygen was a little cumbersome since you don’t know where the oxygen is, so you end up suffocating pretty often. A minimap of at least those items would be helpful. Great job!
A simple, short but fun entry. I think at first I thought it was 'too difficult' - but maybe I think the best way to think about it is each step is a precious resource that needs to be used efficiently. It took me several tries, but I eventually got it, which was very satisfying. Obviously once you get the mask upgrade, it's much more forgiving but it's a fun challenge to get to that point in the first place. I liked how you eventually extinguish the fires too, which changed up the dungeon layout.
Good job! I started recording this playthrough around the 3 minute mark
You Win!
I played this for far to long, over an hour. Tried mapping the area out which helped some but I think it just made me spend more time in the long run. If you get to the giant tanks you are basically on the way to winning the game so keep at it. I am afraid players will stop playing before uncovering the better upgrades.
Since there is so unforgiving steps, it might be a valid option to just give the player a mini map.
Some bugs, the game stutters a lot at first movement but not after that. If you die at a position where you can use oxygen tank you can still use it after you suffocate but then you are locked there. Same with dying in general, there is a lot of reloading the page due to this.
Nice entry, and the one I've spent the most time in so far.
Really cool design having to try again multiple times while mentally mapping out the level and where the oxygen tanks/keys were was a nice challenge. Great work!
I really enjoyed this game, although I found it very difficult. The powerup that extends your oxygen levels was very helpful, it made exploring a lot more forgiving. I was very sad that you could only use one of the giant tanks :<. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to complete the game. Maybe I was missing something, but I couldn’t find the maintenance key after the rubble fell. I felt like I explored every where I could. If there’s a way to get this key in the current build, you should let me know or give me a hint so I can finish the game! Aside from that, a few other issues I encountered are that you can’t restart the game when you die, which was frustrating since you die quite a lot, and some of the text was hard to read when standing on the same tile. Overall, great work! I really enjoyed playing your game.
there is a 2nd upgrade(mask) before powercell, that slows down the O2 usage more. and I started introducing more red herring pathways.
I will admit that if we could patch stuff in I'd add a light flickering light guide over the Maintenance Key too but it is acquirable. It is in the largest room beyond the powercell.
Ah I see. After a second attempt today and your hint I was able to find the Maintenance Key and beat the game. The path was just a little hard to see. Great job again, I really enjoyed your game!
Nice atmosphere and it was almost like a puzzle to solve it. How many steps, how much air. I enjoyed it :)
Good job!
It was fun to get lost in the hallways of the ship, had a nice dark ambiance. I would have liked an option to retry the game, I had to reset the page each time I died, which was quite a few times lol.
