Description
I wanted to capture the shifting mental state of a warrior walking "home" from the battlefield as the sole survivor.

I used three 12 tone row melodies of differing dissonances to evoke a fractured mind.

The synths & timbres I chose help illustrate the bleak frozen solitude of the artwork.

Neat track! Its defiantly different from what I am use to but still cool. 12 tone music, never heard of it but still very cool!

12 Tone Music, now this is a name I haven't heard for a very long time ago.

Very well captured your described intention and was certainly well executed. The Atmosphere was thick and interesting and the progression capturing. Well Done!

I knew when I read the words "tone row" I was going to be in for a unique-sounding experience (in a good way)! I think you definitely hit your goal of showing that sort of fractured mental state in doing so. One area I would like to see you push that idea even more into is more variety of instrumentation and expression or mixing techniques, either in a sort of 1:1 relationship with the different tone rows (i.e., the first uses xyz instruments/mixing technique, the second uses different ones, the third uses different ones), or as bridges between them (i.e., the first starts with one set of insts/techs, which then carry over into the second one before changing and carrying over into the third). I hope that makes sense! Overall a very unique and original piece!

Yesssssss this ambience is amazing. I had to look up what 12 tone row melodies and I'm not sure if I 100% get it get it but can say for sure that it's used really well here, there were all sorts of unique and engaging chord/melody movements that worked great for the fractured mind vibe you were going for. Really everything feels very intentional and effective, great work!

Love me some Mellotron!

Ambience is great all around, but felt that the dulcimer was maybe a bit too forward and aggressive for my taste and maybe making it a bit more distant would help blend with the rest of the mix. But that's pretty subjective 😁

Good stuff!

Wow, short but very interesting! I love the ever changing tonal centre, it expresses the perturbing and evolving emotions of the protagonist so well. The sound design is also so neat and quite original in the way it’s organised. Well done!

I think I got PTSD when you mentioned tone rows, really like it though. Restrictions on writing can bring out some really interesting stuff and that's more than evident here.

The arrangement is really unique. While listening to this track, I felt a sense of inevitability and tension but also perseverance along a difficult path. There’s something mystical about it!
