Making a custom splash screen

We are working on adding a custom splash screen to our game using the Splash Screen options in Project Settings -> Player. Adding an image as our splash screen is easy but there does not seem to be an easy way to add a sound effect without just creating a whole scene for it. Does anyone happen to be aware of a way to add SFX to the Unity splash screen or is it not possible?

You should be able to accomplish this by adding an audio listener to another game object in the scene (there may be one on the main camera by default) and then adding an audio source to your image splash screen. Then you can attach your SFX to that audio source for your camera to pick up and register that as sound.

You also could probably put an audio listener AND audio source on the same game object, but I'd have to see if this works
