Description
I started composing music related to the picture's theme of snow and a trek before deciding on a story, told over 4 tracks. I tried to be a bit more creative with my phrasing structure at some parts, such as improvising a few piano portions, and adding a few percussion and synths.
Bell/Mallet intruments along with high strings were essential to give the tracks a cold feeling during the adventure.

The story involves a father who was separated from his son during a previous expedition on Antarctica due to a strong blizzard. He must venture across the continent to hopefully reunite with him. This story is told more like a film soundtrack.

ooooooouuuugh those woodwinds in track 2 are so pretty what 😭

Such a great journey across this whole album, it all sounds incredibly sincere and emotive. I'm definitely taking notes on these movements between each section because all the instruments feel like they were explored fully, each given their own time to shine. Incredible submission! Can't wait for more of your music :)

One of my favourites so far! writing was really great but potentially let down slightly on the production front, possibly because of the samples you were working with though rather than anything technique wise.

I think having that drier pallet however really pushed you to make and highlighted some really interesting musical choices though in the way you fleshed out arrangements.

One thing you did really well (which is something I could definitely learn from) is the way ideas were developed and ornamented outside of a blocky 4/8/whatever bar structure. Even though that was the base for the most part there a constant evolution ontop of that with instruments and accompaniments changing freely and masking more rigid structure it came from.

I think your style just really hit with me though personally and I can't wait to hear your projects in future jams.

Very melodic and emotional, what a nice journey you give us, good arrangement. Some tiny minor playing issues here and there but thats it, maybe in terms of mix we could boost a bit on the mastering but the arrangement is already well done thats its already very good. Well done !

I had really good time listening to this. Really cool melodies scattered across all of theese tracks, I REALLY enjoy  the track no.2 "Aurora Glaciers".

Very cool entry. Love your work on the piano.

Track 1 (Prelude): The Prelude felt like the cello could use some confidence. But all around solid. Digg the live played drumm ^^.

Track 2 (Aurora Glaciers): Wonderfull description of an adveture ahead. Love it!

Track 3 (At All Costs): Can't overhear some influence from "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence", wich is a great song. Very good. Though the cello feels a bit out of sync. Maybe just a programming problem, since most string lybraries need some time ahead, wich can be compensated in your DAW.

Track 4 (The Final Journey): The flute melody is wonderfully done. Somehow got some Journey vibes going. But also Ocarina of Time :D. But defenetly my favorit.

Overall a very beautifull contribution you should defenetly proud for!

Thanks! It was actually really hard at some parts to keep everything in sync without resorting to quantization to be fair, but I did my best.

The live playing of the rhythm seemed to work better on the drums in track 1 compared to the strings in track 3, but thanks for the feedback!

Great job here! I love the feel you got and the wandering yet searching vibe you got throughout each track. Good work. Its clean and very pleasant to listen to. At all Costs was my favorite track. Really good job here!
