Wandering Roots : 0:28 there is something weird going on between the synths and guitar arps, don't think its intentional , need to look that up melodically and fix what is happening to fit the chord transition. I like the "meow" pluck synths. Nice buildup also when the real melodic synths starts is a nice touch. I would just change a couple of very basic and predictable chord at around 0:54.
The Gardener : Really like the chords and vibe, its well mixed there is multiple sections, I like the phaser effects also, this one is pretty well done, short but well done.
Symphonia: Very bassy but I like the simple tone, could probably tone down a little bit the bass just a smidge,
The System Maintenance: First thing to look, cut some frequency on the bell instruments can be easily annoying. Great sound design its very unique. I also really like the transition when the pulse bass starts. Snare is definitely too loud and I think there is room but percussions build up here and go very dark, distorted
Pat's Song: Sounds good I like the simple vibe, this one is the more neutral track of the bunch in my opinion, but it still feels like its part of the whole soundtrack
Mixing wise all the tracks are well produced, arrangement has some nice ideas, just missing a couple of stuff here and there to embellish and make everything more kick ass. Well done.

All right here we go
Angeles : Classic Grunt build up, I like the chords the vibe, I like the pan but maybe that was a bit too much for the main guitar you could maybe double pan it or make it a bit more center since you have other instruments playing in the background. 1:38 is the best thing great chord and here I got inspired I would've love to add something I have bunch of ideas, synth bass, you could put like 60% reverb on your chord, add an ambiant synth pad very stereo but smooth to get a great sense of "we are in a new section" . Later the piano stars, i'm bias as a pianist I love the piano, a bit more reverb on piano would be nice too to go well with the guitar on the right. More longer drum fils before important section switch would be better to help the build up. Drum mix was better than last time also good job.
Tides : Going straight to its, piano and guitar melody is okay, not great but okay, the arps is pretty basic, I think you can add variety and also get a better timing rythmically with the guitar, I think the guitar can get more clarity the more we build up in the tracks the more you add stuff the more it gets muddy, i've seen worse but there is still a lot happening and i'm losing clarity in the mix. The drum is also fine, it could probably be a little bit more in your face especially towards the end. But i'd say I recognize your style perfectly in this track, its melodically and harmonically pleasant and good to listen to.
Feedback on composition as promised : Good theme, its memorable I like the arrangement with the arps to embellish and complete the theme even though they are hard to hear (but you know you said your mix needs some work). The break at around 1 minute is good and the transition to 1:25 is nice but you have enough space to try a second melody there and not only playing the two empty chords waiting for something to happen, you builded up with the choir which is nice but not enough, you'll need more instrumentation to get me going. Overall the theme is nice but I think its too much present, repetition is great in music but there is also a threshold not too exaggerate and at the end I got tired of it, a real second theme or counter theme at some point a second phrase to get out of it and then bring it back would help a lot. Before big transitions also a classic cymbal swell is always welcomed.
Feedback as promised (going to go brutal be aware) :
It's a very sweet minimalist piece, I liked the overall composition process. I like the dissonance at 0:27 if it was intentional it's a nice touch to break the "sweetness". I don't like the 0:56 dissonance though it really mess the feelings I had listening to it, same for 1:07. Section at 1:41, its getting too percussive, its probably the patch sound but you can solve this with EQ and transient shaper maybe to reduce the hammer hitting the notes or directly inside the patch if its available. You can also EQ a couple of high annoying frequency on the glock to help the listeners.
The piece is very gentle and sweet, simple works nicely, you can probably try some arrangements with more instruments and add some textures to it but in the end, it works simple. Still feel there is no real theme as a melody in your track, it's a lot of arpegios, maybe try and incorporate another instruments with an actual melody on top to give your track an identity.
Hope you can take well the critics, good luck !
All right, that is some interesting texture choice, I like the vibe you're going for, I like the sound design you made, although the main issue is what you tried to innovate also is the mix, the ambiance and most sound design mixed together with the musical elements is not working in the mix, it's extremely muddy very fast, the bass as some inconsistencies with the melody also at some points. Also sometimes it's a question of good plugins, I feel like the piano is really robotic and MIDI, there is a tons of awesome great free piano VST out there. The percs same for the mix, I'm sure they sound great but they are very low in the mix burried by everything else. A good sense of mix and arrangement in your track and I'm sure it will sound great !
Some good old Max Steiner vibe orchestral piece, very cool tension and build up, love all the different sections, the arrangement is really well built, I think the mix can probably get a bit louder overall and get more dynamics out of everything, mostly the percs and brass to give a little notch. Well done !
Probably the most unique out of everyone, I like the use of sound design you made with the speed change and specialization, the mix with tonal stuff is very disorienting but I like the vibe its super mysterious with so many dynamics going on, very experimental stuff, I like the small details like the thunder almost going off rhythmically with the keys.
Interesting choice with Phrygian, by default it will give a bit of a omninous vibe, I like the first track a lot more, just have to watch out with the mids/lows frequency spectrum its hanging there for too long. Same for 2nd track, there is a lots of low end staying there for too long, I think just some change of dynamics will help tremendously the overall arrangement of the track, but for pure ambient vibe it works very well, I like that it doesn't sound like anything else that is too generic, it really is its own thing. Good job !
Wrong Jam my guy, this should be in Alternate Soundtrack Jam , easily won the DooM vibe. Jokes asides, it's insanely good, mix is as crisp as it can get, the arrangement is especially well crafted not a second felt boring, you have a good sense on when to change pace and go somewhere else. All the sound design ear candy probably took days to craft and maintain all together. Even without the bias of getting the Mick Gordon Vibe I still feel your own style a little bit in there. Awesome job man !
Very cool effects, you really spatialized everything, I liked the tremollo but the low rumbling that is going on with it is slowly irritating my eardrums the more I listen to it. I like the effort and creativity you went for its pretty different from the standard thing you would do even though it is your style obviously with the "medieval voice" arrangement. First thing I though when the voices starts to sing was is the Akatsuki's Theme from Naruto, pretty funny. Well done !
Lovely composition, very nice orchestration and arrangement, only the voicing at 0:27-0:30 is questionable gotta look into it. Nice leitmotiv it's really well implemented through your story telling. The orchestration at the end with the big hits is nicely done, good spacing between the chords it sounds very wide, of course you already know, your metal hits are a bit too loud, easy fix. Also, I think I'll need a video from you because I just cannot manage myself to do MIDI in Reaper, playing in Nuendo and trying to go back in Reaper for the same thing is insanely difficult, if you have settings/workflow that works wonders, I will take anything.
All right, I know you didn't have lots of time making this. I like the ambient section its very nice, the transition now, this is where I can feel the "lack of time making the track" I like the vibe, don't like the arrangement, especially the octave strings at 3:00, the melody feels very off with what's playing underneath, now is the time to open the orchestration book and see what texture and orchestral elements you can put instead of playing octaves strings all the way. Cool percussive elements too, pretty unique. Good job !
Awesome job, Like I said previously I really like the synth arps its fantastic, I appreciate that you changed the guitar texture and toned it down a notch it sounds much better. if we look at the overall track it feels a bit too bassy overall, I think it works in the beginning to set the tone but its definitely missing something in the high spectrums to balance it out, especially the quiet part at 2:20 is a perfect place to get some highs. The Storytelling is great I really like all the dynamics you put your ideas well in placed. I think that was the main issue in general that you had, you have great ideas but putting them together to get the bigger picture was something I feel was missing, but this one felt as a whole track. Great work !
Awesome arrangement, lots of very cool small bends and key changes. The main feeling i got, is all the transitions that you put expecting to go somewhere I though you would, I really thought at some point you would just go full drum and bass but you never did. It is repetitive, yes at some point we feel it but also for a video game lets say an exploration map or something, that would work marvelously. Very well mixed. I think you should add a layer of drum and bass somewhere, that would give some intensity and change of pace, I just feel it ! Great job ! Also awesome job working with MIDI in Reaper, I could never get used to the workflow.
Super cool sound design, I think you had the right description it does sound electroacoustic or more of a contemporary experimental track very sound design focused more than musical. Not gonna lie not my cup of tea to listen to in general, but I appreciate the craft and innovation you did with real instruments making this definitely a unique track.
No streaming liiiiiiink :( , Sounds great though, very simple and classical, sounds very dry too, probably intentional, I would like a tiny more reverb on the strings but its an interlude so its kinda hard to judge the overall track, I know you submitted twice so I'll leave more of an impression on the second track, you could've probably upload everything with one submission. Anyway, good mix, well done !
Very cool atmosphere and use of Dorian. I especially like 1:50 to the end it is very soothing to my ears. I disagree with Kale on the strings, I think they sound great, the reverb helps of course but the bank you have with the high strings vibrato sounds nice. The only compositional aspect I would look is before 1:50 when you're playing with the root chord going to another chord and immediately going back to root chord, I was not convince on where this was going, you could probably work on this part and add something in the arrangement that would help the flow of going somewhere or stay modal the entire way until 1:50 and find something to add to the flow.
Nonetheless, that is an awesome soundscape, I really enjoyed it, good job !
Nice story telling through music, interesting combo of instrumentation used. I like the overall arrangement you did on every track. I think the main thing to look for is your chords voiciing and progression. The mix sounded nice but because you played triad chords on the pads at low registrer it will automatically sound muddy, spread the voicing you your problem is fixed. Other thing is just to watch for overall frequencie spectrum , sometimes there is too much highs on the hats and other instruments in track 2 for exemple, sometimes its too low like the beginning of first track. Nonetheless I like all the small details, sound design texture and even some VO. Good job !
Nice ambiance, I like the vibe alot, very good textures, mix is great too. The one and only thing I was surprised is the plucked piano on first track, the way the track went but with the lush pads, I think its too much of a clash. The other use of piano on other tracks are fantastic. Maybe it's just a taste thing but I would've put some sustain instead of playing it raw. Well done !
Cool take, very electro/retro even a psytrance track. I like 3 and 4th track the best since it sounds more 80's and its something I enjoy in general. The only thing is after a while it's becomming rather repetitive, you did some cool thing on track 1 to get us somewhere else but I also get that this is the style most track made this way sounds a bit repetitive, the quality is very well done, mix sound great. Good job !
