Description
Lakeward City is not a large city. It’s about as small as a city can be without more appropriately referring to itself as a town. You could be forgiven for mistaking it for a village. But it proudly insists on being a city, and its residents are as proud of their home as they are of the vast lake from which it derives its name. The lake sustains, nourishes, inspires, and scares the proud people of Lakeward City. They depend on it and love it even as they fear the vastness of its mysterious depths.

Situated at the western base of a northern extension of the great Western Mountain Range, the Lake (because that’s the only name it needs) is rumored to be either deeper than the ocean itself or, perhaps, infinitely deep. At least, no living person has ever been able to find the bottom of the Lake with a trawl, rope, or anchor, not once they’ve gotten away from the shore.

The fish in the lake are plentiful and the fisherman wake up early to do their jobs with respect and dignity, always careful not to take too much, and always careful to keep their Lake clean. They never stay on the water past sunset. Boats that do have a tendency to vanish.

"No One Knows How Deep It Goes" is a piece of ambient instrumental music that explains the love, respect, and fear the people of Lakeward City have for their Lake better than words are able.

Loving how full it sounds. Rich layering and compact sound. The delays on the "droplet" attacks work very well to convey the sense of space and water. I find the pause to start the percussion a great way to insert some dynamics and the ominous drone at the end is great .

Fantastic job! This is a great listen. I love the way it modulates around, that and the loose rhythms give it this meandering quality that I really enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful! You captured the mood of deep water, and the wonder it holds, as if in a bottle tightly-corked. I love the gradual tonal shift happening circa 2:06, and the percussives introduced at about 2:46. They are very stylistic of underwater level music of the 90s/00s. Great work!

This is quite nice actually. I do think that the bass/low ends do fade in and out awkwardly sometimes, and it can break immersion a bit. Same thing with the noise. The fades need to be a bit less sudden and more smooth IMO. Also, I think playing around with the panning could benefit this track greatly.

Nicely done, I like the arrangement,  I was afraid to be too much monotone at some point but you switch things up very subtly with insteresting chords that to my surprise I did not expect, a pleasant surprise to be sure. Super clean, good job

Goodness. What a submission this is! You nailed the ambient feel and it goes along so well with your description! Bravo! I love it. Clean, easy to listen too and I can imagine everything that you said in the description. What a lake that must be to be so deep! I love your instruments too as the soundscape is so good. What a great work here.

I really like how Cinematic you made this Soundtrack Sounds! It also reminds me of Murk Beneath A Twinkling Void in a way, which is one of my favorite Songs I've ever heard. You did a really good job on this Soundtrack!

That mix is perfect. It's both clean and soothing on the ears. You really nailed the way the bass hits the ears.

I like that I didn't read the description before listening and then what I read wasn't far off of the imagery in my mind.

You're doing a very good job of stimulating my image-music connection as well, where I start getting visuals of places when I close my eyes with some music.

Great submission, I am very happy you joined! :)

This is fairly great submission, both in composition and mixing. Good work.
