This is a really nice track, I love the mallet percussion/bell use. It reminds me a bit of interlocking patterns in gamelan music.

My main advice though would be to pay attention to dynamics. Especially in the middle section, around 1:08-2:00, I felt like you wanted to build up something there, but the volume and overall intensity stayed the same throughout. It would have been better to slowly build the dynamics of the instruments up or bring in a bit more instruments to make it a bit more intense.

Other than that it's a very solid entry!

thank you for the feedback! Yeah I understand where you’re coming from, I think I was overthinking the ambience theme so I kept it more simple/quiet than I probably should’ve done. I’ll definitely keep that in mind next time :)

A very delicate piece, and so easy to listen to, nothing harsh at all. Wow, I still have so much to learn, hehehe! It's an excellent job! My sincerest congratulations on it.

aw thank you :) I, too, still have a lot to learn!!

Beautiful piece, very soothing , magnificiant  voicing on the chords and a good amount of reverb not too much not too little. But I hate to be that guy, from what I've heard you are in G minor (Aeolian)  all the way through the end even with the chord changes XD and not in Phrygian or Mixolydian. Still sounds good I won't take off that. good job !

Firstly, the instrumentation and composition choices are right up my alley! The strings and ambient electric piano blend beautifully, and the wave SFX tie it to the lake theme nicely. I also like that you included a version without SFX to hear the composition by itself. I think you could expand upon this track, maybe adding more variation and SFX.

Overall, I get a pensive vibe—great work!

A little plain but otherwise calm.

Very nice, calm, & peaceful. Definitely probably one of the best songs I heard in this thing!

By the that you used a Sound that I hear in one of my favorite OSTs... (The Warbling String Pad, I guess I could say, sounds like something like that) Do you mind sharing what Virtual Instruments you used? I love to find the origins of the Sounds & Instruments, and where they come from, that I hear in my favorite songs!

Developer

Do you mean the notes at the beginning? (the ones that wobble slightly), if so, I just used the "piano granular" sample from the Splice Instrument VST! The other piano pad is just a regular sample from Ableton called Faded keys. I'm still very new at composing so mainly using free starter samples for now haha

I can hear it around 0:00-0:08, 1:20-1:34, 1:44-1:59, 2:29-2:43 2:56-3:07 at the most, and it's noticeably around the end rather than the middle/beginning... Is that still the Piano Granular? I have Splice INSTRUMENT, and I have Ableton Live Trial, but the Trial expired by now, by the way.

Developer

Ahh okay gotcha, those are still from the Splice Instrument VST, but it’s called “Decay” from the “Artic Swells” pack. It’s still a free pack on Splice. Also yeah my ableton trial ended not long ago too, I’ve had to choose to rent-to-buy for £22 a month at the moment :,) it gets you everything you want on the program tho

Cool! I'll try to find it when I have the time to.

Very beautiful music, I thought the bells coming in around 1m45 was a great touch. The shift to mixolydian was also well received as a listener. Also, nice job on the artwork!
