Piano is well mixed and fits the scene well. The composition is also on point.
Very solid work! :)
Very cool! The piano and sfx in the beginning paint a really nice picture. You get a really clear sense of yearning or something throughout, which feels clearly inspired by the image to me. The drop out toward the end is the only part of the piece that really could've used some finessing. Nice job!
It's a nice piece, I appreciate the sound effects atmosphere and overall mood of this piece. A few pieces of feedback for consideration for future entries: it was a bit too of a harsh cutoff at 03:24 I would pay attention more to your fades and buildups - I don't think it was built up enough could've used more anticipation and release of tension there (and possibly a bit less subtly throughout the piece, if this was your climax/payoff point). I also don't think the piece entirely was in lydian, it seemed to veer a bit into minor sometimes.
Very very modern japanese chords style and piano playing, sounds very well mix is fantastic, composition is good, the only thing I would change is sticking too long on the same chords, at some point I was trying to guess which chords you were going to go and you went back and forth a good amount of times around the same thing without adding too much, so a couple back and forth is fine but too long and I started to feel the need for a change. Good job !
This is a strong submission. The Lydian mode was a perfect choice for mystery and discovery, and the distorted drones paired with pitch-bending water SFX really sell the idea of sinking deeper into something beautiful and unsettling. The raw piano recordings give it a warmth that VSTs would've lost. One small note: around 3:24 there is a suspended drop that came across more like a playback glitch than an intentional pause. I think it was the absence of a trail that might've contributed to that feeling.
Overall, really amazing submission!
Thank you, I appreciate it! And omg YES, the suspended drop part has been one of the main parts upon listening back that Iโve had gripes with. I liked the idea of something reality breaking so I wanted it to sound like a glitch, but Iโm realizing on a listen back it does sound a little TOO jarring ๐
The atmosphere is nice. Fairly good understandings of the themes too. Good work.
Thank you! Really loved the theme for this jam!
It's not bad, the atmosphere is nice. Fairly good understandings of the themes too. Good work.
I like that it sounds Ambient & Celestial, which is an interesting Combination with a water-like theme! Nicely done Soundtrack!
I appreciate it! Celestial or Dreamy ambient music is my obsession honestly lol really wanted to mix those sounds with underwater SFX to create something unique. Glad you found it interesting!
Well, you did do a pretty good job making a Unique Soundtrack. I also like a lot of Celestial Ambient Music every now & then too myself!
