Having to switch out weapons every minute is a cool idea!
Visually the game felt kinda all over the place though. It felt like almost every different asset was in a different style. I don't know how many of the assets were free assets vs how many were made for this game, but there's a strong argument to be had that a game's overall visual cohesion is more important than the appearance of any individual asset. And making all your assets goes a long way to increasing cohesion (even if the individual assets aren't as good), plus you get more experience as an artist.
Otherwise really cool game, and well made.
I like the music, the 16 bits instruments make it feel a Sega Genesis game. Did you use DefleMask or FamiStudio to create a music ?
Hey, unfortunately we did not create the music ourselves. It's from this asset.
Mini Retro - retro music pack
Fun and kinda addicting game. If you guys were inspired by Vampire Survivors, then you've managed to catch a bit of the feeling you get when you get super OP after some upgrades. Although, I didn't bother reading the cards. I felt like the descriptions are not clear, so I just picked random upgrades. It didn't help much that the wording was too technical like you would get for a game like Darkest Dungeon, but not for a casual game like this. Still, game was just fun so congrats everyone!
Hey Fonse, thanks for reviewing this! The inspiration is some what there and the bullets we're trying to go like those arcade spaceship And yes, we will have to improve the experience for everyone. We'll make sure to take note of this!
I liked the minimalist art style - the cards for bullet selection seemed a bit out of place though, and the text was far too small to read. There was an impressive selection of different bullet types but it wasn't generally clear what each of them did - I don't think using AI to write the descriptions was a good choice.
I played for 8 minutes and got a 30x max combo - it was fun for a bit but definitely needs some escalation of difficulty, I eventually just let myself die to finish.
I also discovered a bit of a bug when you get the gravity based bullets, the screen ends up being filled with effects that makes it pretty difficult to play.
Nice job all round though!
:D

Hey Ben! Thanks for taking your time to review this! This is a great feedback and we'll know what's to improve next! Sorry that you had to went through the bug, it is a known bug and it quite game breaking if you picked that particular upgrade. Yeah, we might need to improve on the description and more player friendly. Thanks again!
