Loved this game!! The art style and gameplay complemented each other very nicely. I found myself invested in the characters and dialogue, doing everything in my power to keep that trust meter up and feed them a steady supply of hemp. Unfortunately they snuffed me out in the end and threatened to gut me in the field!! After all that hemp!!!!
This was fantastic! The theme was captured well, and environments like steppe lands are mystical and interesting to explore. Well done with the character art and dialogue. And the map was beautifully crafted. Well done!
I love this, one of my favorites of the jam. Everything about this works so well. The art is beautiful, from the characters to the map and backgrounds. The music is amazing and really helps the immersion. And the writing...it's so good. I love how much depth the characters have even with so few interactions. The dialog is fantastic but even the non-dialog parts communicate so much, like how Tan Su always seems to avoid talking to you (what's up with that, Tan Su?!).
I played twice but got bugged out at the Horse spot. I read the note about using items in camp so I will try that next time. I really want to see the end!
Fantastic job from your whole team!
Really nice art, music, and overall atmosphere.
Excellent entry! The game looks, sounds, reads and plays great. The premise of the story is extremely interesting, and the tension is very well communicated. I don't have a lot of constructive criticism to add on top of what the other jammers already stated (gone characters appearing in camp scenes and other small bugs).
Please keep creating things, very well done!
This was really neat! The dialogue and art was all well done.
I didn’t really understand why I had to pick my next location, or why my options were so limited. Maybe there was an indication as some point that that was how it was expected to work and it just didn’t register for me, but it felt like my options were frequently weirdly limited, both in terms of destinations and the amount of time to get there. Maybe being able to answer both questions (and maybe also see the map) at the same time would be useful?
Regardless, the concept here was great and I could really see a full version of this having loads of interesting characters and twists and turns. Nice job!
This game looks gorgeous! I love how you're the sneaky one trying to sabotage the expedition.
Sometimes I wasn't quite sure what I was doing, but that didn't detract from the overall experience!
A lot of work was put into the art and writing in such a short time, good job! I'll admit, I hate lying, so I sabotaged the main character's sabotage and took them straight to the pass. The river crossing at the far northeast had a funny bug. The pathfinding went the whole way back and around from the north rather than straight, but since I was close enough the path was still white; the party traveled across the entire map in a single night for a day's trip! Good game!
Seriously good game, top 3 on my book :)
I played it 3 times. I like the story, though I never got to see what happened if they made it to the real pass. Each time I tried to go to the horse plains, they would say I mis-calculated the distance, even though I made it that same day or even the day before, which was pretty annoying, because it made me lose each time.
Thank you for your kind words and reattempts! Apologies for that bug.
For you and anyone else who is having trouble making it to the end I recommend preparing an item at camp. That should help you tank the hit to trust. It's not our ideal solution but we made those items generous in case they were needed in such cases :D
Incredibly engaging story and characters. We were super caught up in it, but unfortunately made too many bad decisions and got caught pretty easily. Very cool game though!
This was a stellar visual novel. I find that nowadays my standards are quite high, but the story was excellent. The only issue I ran into was when the warrior had died and his sprite kept showing up during camp, which was a little immersion breaking, but that's just a small nitpick! Excellent work
I had a hard time navigating initially, I didn't realize I couldn't move so far. I liked the artwork and audio. Great game.
This is really lovely, only wish there was a fullscreen option
Thank you for the feedback. I enabled the fullscreen option in case you want to give it another go.
Wow, I mega loved this! Outstanding job, I loved the music, the theme, the narrative tension and the awesome path-finding UI.

very well done - I enjoyed playing. Great writing and a decent sized game for a jam!
What a great experience. The writing was very well done. I managed to do the deed and now I regret that the game ended before I could know more about my companions.
The writing, music and visuals were masterfully done. I just felt I lacked more choices some times but I also understand that's a great ordeal on such a short time.
Congratulations.
It feels unreal that you guys created this game in one week. Great music, great art and nice writing. Well done!
A really well made game, I have not found any bugs, the story is linear and well structured, the characters are well studied, captivating graphics and the idea of moving through the map is very nice. Very descriptive game. Really well made! Good luck, the game is really worth it!
So glad you enjoyed our game!! Also happy and surprised you didn't run into any bugs but tysm!
