I think with some playtesting this could be a great game. I can see it would be really fun to get good at this and maintain the momentum of your run!

Some extremely fun and deep movement! The procedural generation works very well, this is definitely a game you could play for hours.

It does seem a bit strange to unlock certain movement mechanics as you progress; some of them feel like they should be in your base moveset, while others seem better of as some sort of powerup.

Developer

Thanks for your kind words and sorry for the choices of design you don't like. We just wanted to make the player unlock things along the run and not only  speed which would have been complicated if we'd added some of the mechanics to the base moveset

Thank you for making the game! I had a lot of fun

This game is nicel made to make you want to do more !

The feeling when going full speed is really great. I did not manage to reach it often but still x)

I struggled at first with the mechanic of sliding on the walls but after a few runs I started giving it a try !

I think stairs on the ground with the same color everywhere can be frustrating as it suddently stops the player while being difficult to detect.

The music is well selected and perfectly suits the game.

:)

I'm happy you enjoyed our game :)
Did you play in browser or in the downloaded version? There are no lights in the browser version it mays explain why you have troubles seeing

Submitted(+1)

I tried the browser version indeed, but it wasn't that often so that was fine ;)

I loved this game. The feeling is great, i'm a fan of speedrunner so i may be biased (or more objective, who knows).

I just hated that the speed was going down when you hit the ground or some invisible walls, I think it was the only bad point for having a perfect jam game :)

Good job !

Thanks for you kind commentary, if you slide when you land it doesn't slow you down ;)

Oh good to know

Wow, very nice game! I worked on something similar in the past so I have a lot of respect for what you achieved here, the controls can be a bit of a challenge and feels like i end up fighting against it a lot, and sometimes the game feels a bit too float. Not sure what happened but I had some major lag spikes in the game where the screen was frozen for 3+ seconds and then continued. Gameplay is great, lots of strategy. Tutorial is difficult because the test is too much for such fast reading, but you did add a tutorial in such a short game jam so that is amazing! Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for you commentary, I'll try your game too. For the freeze, dis you play on  web browser ? The game has a way better windows version.

Submitted

Yeah, I read your game page and saw that windows was recommended so I tried it there. It seemed mostly when I hit walls that the lag came

Developer

Ok, strange, it never occured to me
