Game Description
An abstract 2.5D puzzle game inspired by trilateration (think GPS).

How does your game tie into the theme?
You play as three cubes that are sent into a neighboring territory. There are opening and ending cutscenes that emphasize that fact, as well as the general vibe of the game, but the theme also led to me thinking about navigation/GPS and therefore the core mechanic of the game.

I really like the concept and had fun solving the puzzles! And this game is amazingly polished, great job on that!

I have a minor point on the aspect of using trilateration: I found the solution for most levels to be positioning two of the cubes directly next to each other at a certain spot in the level and then just moving the remaining cube to solve the level, which would rather resemble a ray between two points.

But definitely was having a great time playing your game!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

And you’re right, that is a strategy that is probably too effective. If I expand this more in the future I think the next mechanic I add would probably be something that created pressure toward larger triangles. Maybe shape will multiple target points (or just linked spheres) that have to be captured at the same time.

I was starting to think about that, but I was running out of time and had a clear vision for the ending, so I decided to just go for that instead of potentially wasting that time an idea that might not pan out.

Anyway, glad it was still enjoyable!

Such a smooth experience! A couple of those levels were stumpers! Fun challenge, and I could see this expanding even more with additional levels and features. Well done, these were very fun puzzles to churn through

Very interesting puzzle mechanic. I really enjoyed playing it. Glad I managed to finish it despite getting a little stuck at first.

Really nice and consistent art style. I also like how you introduced new mechanic with each level. Although each mechanic made the gameplay more challenging, it was intuitive enough that it didn't require extra tutorials to understand it.

Great job!

Thank you!

I generally strive for teaching puzzle mechanics as minimally/non-verbally as possible. But I’m glad the little bit of “how to play” text was all that was necessary. :)

Very vibey and cool entry. I especially love the cutscene at the beginning of the game that sets the tone. The audio is also excellent, with a great execution of the A Capella wild card.

Really love this kind of puzzle game, and some of the levels genuinely had me stumped for a while. Great job dev!

Great concept and puzzles!  I had great fun solving them and working around the different mechanics.

Thanks for playing! And thanks for the video, it was interesting seeing your thought process as you worked your way through them. :)

This is great, very polished gameplay, fun and unique puzzle mechanic. It was challenging but solvable after a few tries. I really enjoyed the vibes here, with the SWEET a capella level music and the simple but stylized artistic design. The simple shapes you used with the greyscale color scheme works really well together to make a cohesive vibe. Also your intro is surprisingly cinematic for 4 blocks! Well done, one of the best in the jam!

Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun to make! It helped that I was able to put together a pretty clear vision of it early on, so it was mostly just a matter of budgeting my time appropriately.

Okey, this was really cool. It had me thinking at times but it never felt impossible and game length was also good.

Very cool puzzle game! It feels super polished, kudos for the music theme which is really great :)

Developer

Thank you!

The A Capella wildcard was a part of what made me want to enter this time, so I’m glad to hear that that layer worked!

This is amazing how well everything fits together and feel polished. Ambiance is minimalistic but very efficient.  Gameplay was really intersting. I don't really know what could have been better with your concept. Maybe the two or three first puzzles to introduce the "disruption" mechanics were a bit repetitive, but that's probably very subjective. Great work !

Developer

Thanks so much!

I can see what you mean, it’s hard to know what people will have trouble with, especially when you’re trying to make sure they’ve understood the implications of the mechanic. Thanks for the feedback!
