I realise everybody’s saying it, but I love the painted paper look. It’s so good, and it works so well as part of the game too: you can tell exactly where the ground is, what’s climbable, etc. - it’s very readable despite being quite unconventional. I would have liked to see a climbing animation for the squirrel but I realise that would have been a ton of extra work for no actual change to the gameplay. Despite the “overpowered” theme (which I think this tackles capably), I was actually quite impressed that the economy seems pretty well balanced: the game doesn’t overstay its welcome by forcing a ton of grinding (though I did stick around way longer than necessary to try for a high score).
Easily one of my favourite games of the jam.

This stop motion effect is amazing. Loved the game play the art style stands out. I got into the secrets I don't want to spoil the game, a hint think like a squirrel.

Thanks so much!! I enjoyed making the art but I wasn't so sure how to code stuff so I did mostly what I already learned from making my other games:D
Very unique game and art style, and I loved the ending, kind of made me think of noita where you can turn the entire world into gold. My only small complaint is that waiting to collect acorns and walking back and forth is a little boring. I'd suggest adding minigames where you bet/pay acorns with a chance to earn more, or maybe make investments that slowly earn you more acorns over time.

This game is a visual masterpiece—you did great! It’s simple, easily playable, and a blast to look at. With some polish and added game juice, I can see this becoming a cozy, story-driven game.

I painted papers with acrylic or watercolours and then i cut them and took photos or scanned it:D

I originally wanted the squirrel to buy the Earth and other planets with acorns to make it more overpowered but i didnt know how do it and i didnt have time xD
That would actually be super fun i understood that the squirrel would be some kind of tycoon due to the cute hat, but this is so much better, hope you keep working on it post jam to see what the little guy can do! :)
