I was excited by the tagline but left after seeing all the dialogue.
Salutations; I appreciate you taking your time out of your day to play my game and leave feedback.
While I understand your issues, I do want to point out that not only is the amount of dialogue present within the game not an issue but rather a personal preference, the game does describe itself as narratively driven.
Regardless, I appreciate your feedback. Have a nice day!
Text was a bit much(a lot of games to rate otherwise it would be just fine) but the music more then makes it worth a try!
there was so much text and it was unskippable, so even to try the game it took a long time. The graphics and music were the best part!
Thank you for the compliments! I apologize for your issue with the amount of text, though my incorporation of the theme is through it and it does provide a reason to finish the game; thus it is unskippable.
Nevertheless I understand where you are coming from and sincerely apologize.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to play my game! Have a nice day!!
not a huge fan of the story, and the dialogues sometimes felt too long, but everything else is top notch, especially the audio and graphics
By far the best game I’ve seen. Very nice visuals and audio, gameplay is very fun! The intro story was very long though. :o
Love the UI of your game. I just think you should shorten the amount of text in your game. If you can I would really like you to rate my game.
Thank you for the compliments and feedback; I shall make sure to play your game.
I do want to point out though that then amount of dialogue isn't exactly an issue with the game, but rather a personal preference. Nevertheless, I still understand your frustrations.
Thank you for playing my game! Have a nice day!
Visually stunning, great music. Will say that whistle sound effect does get annoying after a while haha. Didn't have time to play through much of the story but it's a funny idea. Great job!
A little more feedback during gameplay might be nice- I agree with what others said, it was confusing at first why I was winning, even knowing the cards left was the enemy counter (i think a few times i won when it said 9, or sometimes the enemy drew multiple cards? it was confusing), and also when the enemy played a card it was a bit sudden. Also, I know it might mess with the aesthetic and make it more like UNO, but having different colors for the different letters really might help, I had a little trouble just deciding what cards could be played or not. Maybe just me though.
All that being said, what a cool game, can't believe it got done for a jam!
UX/UI was excellent! Wish I could skip into the gameplay quicker though. Great job!
There was too much text. I loved the art and sound effects.
Super clean UI but I agree on the nonstop dialogue, I chose normal as for me personally I dont want loads of story and this was supposed to be the non story driven mode ... I get maybe leaving it in there but a skip button would go down very well for those of us who dont want to read story. I also read a comment about long load times, I left it on the first bit thinking it was loading, especially with the card icon spinning in the bottom right, must of been a good 2/3 minutes before I clicked and realised it wasnt loading haha. Fun game and super nice looking though, dialogue for me is just not interesting so a simple skip button is just a suggestion for if you worked on this post Jam :)
Sorry my fault; I should have made it clearer that the normal and story modes are just difficulty options. (It does say in the text below, but I guess most people weren't bothered to read that.)
While the amount of dialogue isn't really an issue with the game and is rather a personal preference, I still understand where you're coming from.
Have a nice day and I appreciate the feedback!
Great art—I absolutely loved the UI and UX! The game’s visuals look amazing. However, there are a few things to consider. First, try reducing the amount of text—the game took me 4-5 minutes to get into the action because of nonstop dialogue. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how I won. Your artistic skills really shine, which is awesome, but taking some time to focus on the gameplay side would make it even better.
Haha, sorry, it seems a lot of people got confused on how the game works; the card remaining counter is your enemy's cards, not yours.
I understand you took issue with the amount of story, though I do want to point out the fact that isn't necessarily an issue with the game but rather a personal preference.
Have a nice day; I appreciate the feedback.
Very good game idea though, the long loading times and interminable dialogues no thanks, unfortunately that's what's going to lower my score even though the game is really cool ...
The tongue in cheek writing and the smooth AF flat design of the UI really make this game stand out!
I also like how the whole crux of this game following the theme is the king having a +4 card.
So clean, with an amazing art style and the music was perfection!
