The cat’s skull is so overpowered smashing bricks like that. Fun game! 💪🏻😾

it was fun

I'm not able to play as I'm on mobile. But I watched it on YouTube.

I like the humor (the extra-high jump, the "No rats in here" signboard, and the "AAAIIIEEE" sound). It also follows the theme very closely. It's short but complete and polished.

Maybe the dialog can use some speaker labels, like "Larry: ..." when Larry is speaking.

Super cute game! Absolutely loved the art and music. Was satisfying to see the blocks fly away lol, thanks for sharing!

it was funny how the rats flew away xD

Developer(+1)

They weren't supposed to fly that far in the earlier versions of the game. But I decided to raise the force applied to the rats by a lot in the final version of the game to make it really feel like the player is overpowered. 😼

I like the rats and there animation . It was quite tricky in the starting but after that every thing went right.I loved the music.

Funny game, nice animations! The cat appears to be indestructible...

Please play my game if you want!

Fun little Mario-style game. Is the cat invincible or something, I kinda just ran through the game...

Developer

That was pretty much the point. I was planning on making the game harder by adding bottomless pits with breakable blocks over them, but I scrapped the idea since I didn't want to make the game too hard.

That's quite an overpowered kitty!

Developer

That's what happens when it is blessed with the powers granted by a powerful spirit!

Very cute story and game! Well done!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Nice game I like the rat 🐀 flying 😁

Developer(+1)

The rats flew away a lot slower in the earlier versions of the game, so I turned up the force applied to them by a lot when Larry hit them. The result? Rats and bricks flying everywhere!

What a fun little experience! Nice take on the theme! The cat was really OP. 😆 Controlling the character felt smooth and responsive.

I don’t know if it was just me, but at the beginning, the game had a really relaxing and chill vibe with the nice background music—then on the last level, the techno hit completely snapped me out of the trance. 😄 Really nice entry!

Also, great job on the narrative—it was really fun to play!

Developer

Thanks! I had a lot of fun time writing the script for this game. The final version is much different compared to the first draft of the script, however.

Satisfying gameplay; I loved booping the rats and blocks off the screen! Felt very fun. I wasn't sure what "staying too long in a level meant", but I wasn't too worried about it since it was easy enough to find the level end. Well designed, I like how you did the dialogue animation too (the delayed "here comes Larry" was a nice touch!).

Developer

Basically the longer you stay in a level, the more points you will lose when you start the next level. The game calculates with the following formula: current points - (time * 30) = result. For example, if you have 20,000 points and you stay on the current level for 50 seconds, you will lose 50 * 30 = 1500 points when you begin the next level.

A great idea with great execution! The breaking of the block felt very reactive and smooth and I found eating the rats quite funny. The artstyle is simple but effective and I like the jumping animation.  Overall a great submission!
