sprites are great, and i liked the death effect, but i would probably remove the light around the snake, and try to improve the contrast better with just color. I also would chagne the big wolf sprite, you should redraw that keep it the same size pixel. The gameplay is fun. I would keep the minimal style, and try to make the menu even more simple, and clear. Nice job!
