Slick controls, nice aesthetics!
Being able to attack while jumping would have been helpful against the flying enemies.
I liked how collecting the fairies increased the player's maximum health.
For some reason the screen would sometimes get a blue tinge, often when I tried attacking/left clicking.
[Edit] - The blue tinge was actually Firefox selecting the game window, so nothing to do with your game.
