Great read! I am just finishing up the book Bullshit Jobs and it does a great job talking about how we got here, and about pay for jobs is inversely related to its social benefit. And that people who work in jobs that are impactful and fulfilling are expected to be fine with it and are demeaned for it as well.

Great zine, well structured and sensibly phrased! There was an initiative to introduce BI here in Switzerland about 10y ago, but it was rejected by the majority... I hope people's mind will change and live to see at least one country somewhere actually do it.

Donater ClickerYeah, we had foundation-based tries here in Germany, Finland did well, the US did well, Canada did well, everybody did well in the tests. It just never took hold so far. And in the current debate climate I think the self-cenetered, self-righteous "everybody but me will be lazy" and "we cannot pay lazy people" are prevalent, baseless as they are.
Many excellent and straightforward arguments here. I really enjoyed the read.

God Is Debt (Jam Version)Haha, but it's good to be full, isn't it? The cover is an illustration I did for an art challenge a while back.
I find that BI is one of those things that will eventually be an idea whose time has come - and nothing can stop those. It's just so hard to get people, well, almost deprogrammed, to think in different lanes than they're used to, to accept this solution.
On the Old Alternative page I believe there's a typo. I think you meant to say, "...quitting a job may make you not legible eligible to receive..." so it should be "eligible" instead of "legible". There's another on the What Else? page. "Envelope" instead of "Envolpe".
Okay with all that out of the way - this was so thought provoking! I'm enjoying the interesting zines in this jam and yours is a comprehensive argument. I know it's supposed to be a rant but it felt so conversational that it didn't feel rough to read through. You know, some cases feel like reading a legal review and this didn't feel that way at all. Also, I thought it was surprisingly legible. I wondered if the pink background would grate on my eyes after a while but that didn't happen at all. The food humor sprinkled here and there was brief but performed a good job at adding small breaks for the mind and eyes. It was fascinating to see this from a German perspective too, although it read as if it could apply to many nations and situations, because I recall that quote about work before the election and was concerned. The idea that we must turn into engines of industry as nations, and the people are just parts. The way you look at the psychological aspect was eye-opening too. The wording really resonated.
