I believe this story and implementation is your best yet! I know Ren'Py is also not the engine you're accustomed to using, so props on learning that for the game jam as well! Your sprites were quite charming, and it was nice to discover some additional lore for your jam game from February. I love when an author's game references their previous works in unobtrusive ways that aren't necessary to understand the narrative. You also went all out with multiple applications of the theme without it feeling overly forced and shoehorned in. I believe your game music has also improved from the previous two I've read.
