Love the use of the hand drawn animations! Really adds to the already cute watercolour style! Really lovely experience!!

The art is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised by the hand-drawn animation when conjuring a plant. Parroting what others have said, the puzzles were a bit samey and could do with some diversity between the different plants. I was surprised when the game ended so soon, after making just one of each plant. With the ingredients and the bulletin board, I was expecting some sort of resource management, but in the end the ingredients were superfluous since one trip to each ingredient lets you gather more than enough to make it through to the end of the game. I think you have the foundation for a really fun game, I would be interested to see what you could do with it with more time.

The watercolor style art is really nice! Looks great! The design of the characters is also pretty. One of them being some kind of caterpillar is so interesting!

I think the puzzles, while nice and easy, felt too similar between the different plants. Couldn't the picture puzzle be more of a drawing of the plant you are summoning? Now the summoning of every plant felt like the same tasks repeated and I didn't even know what I was making anymore... (since it didn't really matter)

But overall, a very nice experience! Thank you for making this game!

Lovely and harmonious design, tech, music, and of course art & animations. The intro song reminded me of Mushishi's opening. I'm usually not a fan of puzzle, but the requirements were easy enough that I finished the experience with enjoyment. Thank you!

First of all, awesome work on the art! I also really love the swoosh magic animation after completing the puzzle! Your game has a solid game loop, having some variety on the puzzle might be great, like maybe the quantity of the tiles for each plant. Other than that, good job!

I must say, the character animations here are impressive and expressive. The other art on display is also very good, even if the colors could clash less.
However, the puzzles, which seem to be the key part of the game, are kind of boring.
Perhaps for each plant, a different type of puzzle? And for every plant already made, the puzzles could get more complicated. For example, on stage 1, the bubble puzzle would require a combination of 3 key presses, and 4 on the next stage, and 5 on the stage after that, and so on.
The bubble puzzle could use a timer. Even if it was a more forgiving one, that could make the puzzle more engaging.
The jigsaw puzzle could also use a timer. Otherwise, it's fine as is.
Continuing on the bubble motif, maybe there could be a Simon Says type of ordeal?
Outside of the puzzles, it's crazy how Marina simply doesn't run out of sand or seashells.
Maybe if you made too many plants to hold, you could place them in your room for later?

I might write more if I think of something.

The art and character design is really good for this game. It's really impressive. The animations fit really well too. The music matches the setting too. The gameplay is simple but fits the cozy atmosphere. I was able to solve the 1st part of that mini game matching keys but somehow got stuck on the note puzzle. The right click does not seem to rotate the puzzle pieces. The rotate mechanic makes that puzzle a lot more challenging.

This work is really cute. Great job!

Loved the animations (they're so cute!) and artstyle! This was a very cute game overall. Playing through the game was really intuitive :D

Great art and amazing character anims! UX-wise, there's some work to do, but I read below that you're planning on developing this into a full game. The interface and controls are not very intuitive, like somebody else had said. My issues with UI can be simply fixed with some contrast between the buttons and the main gameplay. I wish you and your team the best of luck developing this in the future! Super stoked to see where this goes :D

Thank you for the feedback. I know it feels strange for WASD to have only diagonal character movement. We wanted to have 8-way movement, but our animator couldn't animate movement in every single direction in three weeks. 8-way movement will be one of our top priorities for the full release. By contrast between the buttons and the gameplay, do you mean the buttons should be a different color, or something else?

I completely understand how hard it is to make isometric movement feel less awkward! To answer your question on contrast, you could utilize complementary colors or play with saturation to have the text stand out and be more readable to the player while in gameplay. For the menu/movement instructions, you could up the contrast here have a dark multiply/overlay layer over gameplay, thus ensuring that the buttons can pop in comparison to the rest of the screen. Hopefully this clarifies a bit on my thoughts!

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll definitely share them with the team.

The art is impressive. I wasn’t expected the full animation for conjuring. The controls for the puzzle game were not intuitive. I also have a rotation card mechanic similar to yours, I decided to add on-screen buttons and also support the mouse wheel and keys to rotate so everyone can find their preferred inputs. The main problem is that the game was too short. I fulfilled the 3 orders and I wasn’t expecting it to be done; I just wanted to see more of it. Great work!

Thank you for the feedback! Our submission to this jam is a vertical slice to prepare us for the development of the full version of our game, which we intend to release later this year. It will definitely be longer with more things to do. I'm really glad you enjoyed the art and animation. Our artists, Brian and Paige, really worked hard to make the game look as good as possible.
