Immerkind being depicted as a source of pure happiness is so nice. Makes enreco s2 even sadder :(

As a diehard KindPrincess fan, I am very happy to see a game actually from the Princess's POV. I'm impressed you got this done within 24 hours of the deadline honestly. I think there's potential here with the main mechanic, having to balance your kingdom's happiness with your actual funding, while also weaving through the plot line of EnReco, I'd definitely be interested in a full version!
I only managed to watch a few clips here and there from ENrico and I think you nailed some of the important moments. It would be great if the game was expanded after the jam!
Interesting to play as the princess perspective! I would love to see this project evolve with its other endings! Currently, there's a bug where if you spam the Yes/No to the choices you get that choice reward value indefinitely. Aside from that, cute sprite and good starter of choice, great job being able to make this in a very short span of time!
Ohh! This is an interesting take on the theme!
And ENReco from the princess' perspective? Very cool idea!
It's unfortunate you didn't have the time to make a more polished entry. I really want to try the game again if you add more content based on ENReco's stories and featuring more of the holoEN talents.
I'd also love to see what other endings we could get in the game. :)
Definitely would love to see this grow once the rating period is over - I think you could pretty easily weave in the rest of the story events on ENReco to do more fun stuff (erm, aside from the ending, of course)
But it would be fun to see other impactful decisions throughout the game.
Solid bones and very impressive for only being done in 24 hours, congrats and thanks for submitting!
I can definitely see the inspiration, it's pretty straightforward.
There's not much to comment on gameplay since you didn't iterate so much on the formula. But if the gameplay's not much then at least you have the story going on okay. You seem to have followed ENReco Ch. 2 well enough though to make your references, so you're all good on that front. And seeing the events of Ch. 2 from the perspective of the Princess while still fulfilling her administrative duties is somewhat interesting.
The only major flaw I found is an exploit where after you make a decision, before the person leaves you can keep spamming the Y or N buttons to further increase or decrease the Money, Happiness, and even Love/Angst meter. This can be especially useful if a player runs short on one resource where they can time the proper scenario and just re-accumulate what they lost from it. I do know that if the player accumulates too much of a resource then the game ends (as it was in the game this was inspired from), but again, with the right scenario the player can just manage that carefully.
Oh, and since I brought that up, you mention in the intro that going to 0 in either resource leads to a game over, but you didn't mention that if you go over some limit that it also triggers a game over. I think a player should be informed of that too so they realise they have to tank some of their points and balance it within a certain range for 15 days.
If I had more time, I definitely would have liked to try and make it to day 15 and see where the Love/Angst meter leads. I might revisit this at a later time, but at least for now these are my thoughts.
Nice idea, and congrats on the submission!
Thanks for playing!
I was planning on having the love/angst meter be more important, mainly by having it change the story that is reported in the end-of-day newspapers, but i didn't have time to write any but the first or to make the first one change. Right now, the only thing the love/angst meter affects is that Mori gives you extra money from the therapy business on later days if you are far on the angst side.
The game only goes up to day 8, same as in ENreco chapter two. The ending there happens every time no matter what you do. I wanted to have some more events on the last few days to better show what was going on, but once again I ran out of time. (Pretty much all the dialogue was made in the last 1 and a half hours). I was going to add at least one of those events back in to explain the ending during the grace period but I wasn't able to do it in time.
I'll probably come back after the rating period is over to add stories for each ending newspaper, a lot more characters and dialogues, actual unique sprites for every character, and fix those last few bugs (honestly I'm surprised how few there were given how poorly the game is programmed).
If you do manage to make a post-jam update, I'd love to check that out. When I finally have the time to, I wanna give this game a fairer shot and actually finish it. (Also, obviously I can't see the progammed side of things, so for what it's worth the game is still pretty interesting and fun to run through a couple of times despite the bugs, so good job and congrats all the same XD)

Discovered a... minor bug. I can definitly feel how this game is unfinished, but so is the nature of game jams. Hey, it's a grand accoplishment you got something done at all, so good job on that! Jams are all about learning new things after all!
