I really like the concept and application of the theme here! I do think the game would benefit from a few quality of life things like an indicator for the order of the colors as you swap through them, and a clearer indication of what color the greyed-out slimes/platforms are. I agree with the other commenters that the temporary platforms had some unintuitive behavior, but I think this could be mended by showing a timer and the color their will react to. I also really appreciate the quality and frequency of the tutorial signposts.

Thank you! I like the idea of a timer to show when platforms will change colors - it just didn't occur to me when making the game. I saw something like that done in another game submitted (Colour Platformer by jbalsby https://jbalsby.itch.io/colour-platformer ) and immediately regretted not doing that :)

The game has potential, but right now it's rough. Switching between colors is inconvenient, and when temporary platforms appear, you get lost very quickly. During 10 minutes of playing, I never really figured out how the colors change and just clicked randomly.

I'm not sure what change should be made if any, but there was something about the platforms changing colors that felt too punishing. With that being said I enjoyed playing your game

Intriguing game idea especially because there's a limited colour palette and you can only have a few hues to shift to but you added more colours which help the player, platformers and slimes stand out from the background. I think if each colour had their own ability (especially for platforming traversal), it could've added more interesting interactions beyond just waiting for the correct colour.

Developer

I thought about doing different skills for each color but that was the gimmick in the last game I made and I didn't want to be a one trick pony. Thanks for playing and the feedback :)

The concept is really cool but I think it would be better if the platforms and slimes werent invisible until you change to the correct color. It doesnt let you play quickly, its more of a roulette/spam until you get the right color, where if i saw what platforms were next i could sort of plan out my next moves. the color changing platforms were also frustrating as it was just a waiting game until the color became correct. Regardless of my opinion the animations and art is really cute.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. It is definitely a slower play right now. It seems that in general people dislike the color changing platforms. I should have done something to make them more obvious or at least different from the normal platforms. Thanks again.

Sometimes there are too many colors to switch between, specially when jumping to and from the platforms that change color. Other than that, the game is fun, cute, pretty and good overall

I agree, I need to add some way to know what color is coming up and a way to know if a platform is going to change colors or not. Thank you for playing and helping me grow. :)

This game has good potential would appreciate it if you could add a coyote time jump.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm new to game dev and didn't know how to add coyote time. Because of your comment I sat down and learned - it was easier than I thought. Thanks again! :)
