I think this has great potential. Would love to have a little more angst going on gameplay wise. Maybe have some fuel limit, or some challenging enemies flying around etc. Adding challenges also provides a great motivation for players to grind for upgrades, which I think is very essential for a game about grinding.
Hope to see this expand into something larger. Thanks for participating!

A fun, simpl e little game. But yes i also have to parrot that even i got tired of so much mayo lol.

... for some reason i got in my mind  "Mouthwashing" But its just Mayonase and now i completly forgot whatever comment i was about to say. That would... certainly be diffrent... *it'd probably all spoil over some time though... unless in the cold of space i guess?*

A good start to a game, but it seems you ran out of time to finish up any real story. There is a limit to how much mayo one man can grind without an end in sight. BGM was pretty good fit for Kaela/Biboo dynamic.

I liked the little voice clips you used for the dialogue sections. Very nice!

The spaceship controls were interesting and the UI pointers very helpful for navigating!

I wish there was more to the game than just shooting Pebbles, selling their remains and trading it for mayo.

I think I stopped playing after delivering 10 mayo as the gameplay got repetitive quite quickly.

Could be interesting if you manage to expand on the game with more storyline/quests and spend some time to polish it.

A good start for a grinding game! The art is nice and the humor and sounds effect for it are good fit! As of it now I do hope to know how much mayonnaise I need to give and maybe a quest tracker to reminded me.

That said, Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! We did have some more story planned related to the theme but when the deadline came looming we decided to prioritize making sure our core gameplay loop was ironed out 😅

The required amount of mayo is 20 and after that the next time you talk to Koyori you'll progress. That's definitely something we should've shown progress for in a quest journal or in the task list on the bottom right.

Oh I see!

I kept delivering mayo but it is never enough. The spaceship's movement is a bit too floaty for me, I prefer tighter controls. Overall it was fun.

Can Koyori ever really have enough mayo? (The quest advances when you talk to her again after having brought 20 mayo though 😄)

The ship controls were something I spent a lot of time trying to tune. It was hard to balance feeling like a space game with momentum and having good snappy arcade movement.

Thanks for playing our game!

Fun little game, props for putting together the assets like Koyori's spaceship! Going in, I wasn't too confident on how this would tie into the theme (aside from grindstone) but you managed to sneak it in with Koyori as well, so that was a good save!

Definitely interested in seeing if the project is expanded upon - more quests, locations,  other holomems, maybe shooting pemaloe too, poor pebbles are getting bullied on their own right now (also maybe an indicator for objectives - I was just kinda shooting in the dark for the amount of mayo that I needed).

And of course, expanding on the grinding gameplay loop to do more fun things besides just floating around and shooting pebbles!

Thanks for playing Grindstroids!

I did have a full holox questline I hoped to implement, but deadlines don't care about plans! I do plan on flushing the game out with some more content after the jam and I'll post in the discord when that's available.
