bass! BASS! BAAS!

Incredible old-school mix of funk, soundfonts, cool groove melody, general atmosphere of something simultaneously fun, and yet a bit drive-threatening! You definitely did a good job of creating this "effect" :>

Good job!

P.S. And yeah, why do I hear russian swear words in the area starting at ~1:26? :D

P.S.S. RAWR ^w^

Thank you! In the section at ~1:26, I used a sample of the vocals of "It Takes Two" by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock (though it was originally for a song called "Think(About It)"). That said, I can't unhear it now lmfaooo  xD

You really brought that N64 Sound out; this was just a good vibe to hear. Well done, and thank you for this lovely piece.

Just had to listen to this again. LOVE it, holy cow

Thank you! Yea, I found a really nice N64 soundfont someone made and it ended up being the main inspiration behind this song. That and a soundfont for the SC-88 someone else tried making. I'm such a sucker for the tones of that era lol

A lovely mix of nostalgic soundfonts and jazz fusion vibes, the variation in the melodies, rhythms and instruments with the solo type interludes kept everything light and fresh to the ears, listening and grooving to it filled me with a warm joyful feeling.

Thanks for sharing!

the groove is immaculate, really puts a smile on my face. I would just make some slight adjustments to the mixing because sometimes the melody instrument feels isolated from the rest of the arrangement.

Gives me old-school Nickelodeon cartoon vibes or PaRappa the Rapper. I love the progressions and how you built off the motif; it's really good stuff!

Cool take, I like the groove very DK64, nice structure, I like the use of the motifs, maybe its just me but I would find or add another sound on top of the melody doubling it to give a bit more presence. Solid take in general, can the mix be a bit better, yeah probably but at the same time it stills feels retro and it has its charm. The loop works also i've tested it a bit, well done !

Developer

Thank you! I do agree though, the melody definitely needs more presence. That and I've always struggled with mixing lmao. Do you happen to know of any good videos or resources about mixing that I can check out?

Hell yeah I love this groove, this is so funky and the melody is incredibly catchy. This track's got a very strong character/vibe to it in a similar way to Toby Fox's stuff, I could totally see this in something like Undertale or Deltarune! Great work :)

Thank you :)

Really fun track! Loved the whole harmony/progression, gave me some T-Square feels a bit 😁

Good stuff!

Developer

Thank you! I do love me some T-Square, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of their influence snuck in there somehow lol
