Very funky and moody in a strange way, but like Kale says it was clearly a conscious choice and your album art and prompt reflect it. And again, fantastic mixing! I could learn a thing or two lol
Nice work Evelina!
0:15 transition made me want a harder arrival, heavier hitting.
I actually disagree with some of the others - I think the vibe and constant switching is simply a stylistic choice and was actually structured well, and wasn't actually that "out there." The transitions felt like they came in at the right points for what the song is aiming at being. I think what really would have sold it more for me is if there was more energy variability, as well as variability between staccato/legato and dry/wet reverb.
So, the mix was clean but the dynamics and variability in the mix could be bumped up a bit. Dynamics I think is the main thing I would focus on to improve this track.
That said, what you did was awesome, and I commend you for pushing the envelope and trying something new.
The sudden vibe shifts were great, really tastefully done,
Just all in all a very quirky as a whole, I think alongside Tommy Li's submission this is one the most unique ones for me this jam.
Good work!
Nice... huh?... oh, okay... but... breathes in... ponders... what?... oooooh... taps on their radio :D
I love it!
All right, well lets say that it does not sound like something you normally do, at all XD which is nice to see you going out of your way doing something different. The arrangement is very well diversed, you're doing so many different thing going to different place but it still fits well inside one composition, I like the hybrid mix of going for some orchestral and synths approach. Very unique take Evelina, good job :)
The best way I can explain how this made me react is... not much.
The song is good, just an expectation moment on my part.
I expect a semi techno song, got an ambient identity crisis in auditory form.
Which fits I guess.
So good work, but not exactly my thing.
The best way I could describe this is that feeling you get when your dreams go from one topic and story to another, or one of those uncanny valley type dreams where something is off, but subtly, unless you look closely. I think in that sense, this track meets those vibes perfectly instrumentally and compositionally. In other words, I love this submission!
Can’t say where to really begin :O. I feel a bit split here. On the one side I thinks it’s a little, silly and cool music and the other it's a surreal and unnerving dream and I can't decide on if I need to wake up or just stay a bit longer. In both cases it sounded great! While most of us had difficulties getting one theme implemented you just managed to get both in there. Heads of for that and also for the great entry.
The production in this is super cool! I dig this sound a lot, love all the sections
This is one hell of a start to ratings lol, this is sick! Each section is so crisp and full, love all the textures everywhere and the overall chaotic/atmospheric feel. I can totally see this being in a game, though I'm not entirely sure where it's meant to loop? Really great stuff overall :)
