It's peak... My only complaint is that the desktop icons didn't bring their window to the front. Although maybe some screaming at the computer heightens the experience

Was the intruder supposed to get closer every time I removed them, or did I just get terribly unlucky? That scared the hell out of me

thank you for playing!

the intruder getting closer is scripted :)

Very well scripted then!!! A+

As a huge fan of observation duty I absolutely love this take on it! I was such a baby and couldn't play past 2 attempts lol. Great fun!

Developer

thank you for playing !

I lost the first time because I didn't see the anomalies slowly ticking up haha but I won on the 2nd attempt. Well it's definitely immersive even with a shorter game I'm sat sweating so great job on the atmosphere. I really love the retro visuals these kinds of games have and it was well implemented here. Really good entry.

Fun game, and very satisfying audio... The game would be very fun if playing properly, but I messed up the fun for myself by just clicking the removing anomalies buttons again and again... There should be a punishment for removing anomalies which aren't really there... Overall, great game!

Really really nice and so polished too! This game really tells a story, was very fun.

Super interesting concept, and I really like the sound effects for the invader, for example. Also loved the small minigames, super cool work man!

If anything, I'd probably remove the Anomaly counter inside the desktop -- you can just press the anomaly removal randomly until you eliminate the right one (removing part of the cool idea of observing for anomalies in the room).

Besides that, superb work :)

Nice concept and art work.

Nice observation duty style game. It's a bit too easy to just guess every single one without even looking up from the screen however, but this style of game always made me wonder why there aren't more of it since its a fun concept.

I really enjoyed your game! It was a lot of fun. That "keep clicking the same button" minigame was maybe too hard and almost broke my mouse :-P

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Haha yeah i may of overtuned that minigame, sorry about your mouse x)

One of my favorite games this year - takes that high place for me, considering the fact that it was made for a game jam - superb work!

I enjoyed a lot of this. The visuals were great, the atmosphere felt immersive and the gameplay was rather interesting. Great job!

Best of luck with the future projects!

Developer(+1)

Wow that means a lot, thank you!

I like the environment of the room with the computer. I missed the controls for exiting the computer at first, I think that would have made more sense to have to exit the computer to delete the anomaly by interacting with it in 3d space instead of running a program from the computer. Overall nice job!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

You're definitely right, it would of made more sense to exit and remove it in 3d space, i may have to tweak that after the jam.

I like the concept. Was constantly waiting for a jump scare. I'm not sure whether the mix of keyboard and mouse for controls was intentional design but I felt that it was just a little awkward to use both when the game could have been mouse-only. Overall, interesting game - good job!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing!

Regarding controls, I agree that mouse only would have worked a lot more, admittedly I didn’t think of that x), I may rework this later on.
