Love the random generation of the dungeon and placement of eggs. Somehow the control is a bit laggy. Dont know if it is only on me.
Thanks! No, the library I used is fairly new and so has a few limitations and it doesn't help that I am not that good programming lol. I've been thinking about rewriting it in godot.
Nice idea! one of the most original ideas to me!
I expirienced a bug that while sprinting it allows me to run though the wall. It was funny :D
Lol I never encountered that in my play testing... thanks for playing and the bug report I will look into it
i was playing without acceleration (i am dumb lol), so i have quite few fps, did you handled the movement in physics process?
afaik kaplay only gives you access to the update not the physics process, i will be trying to rewrite it in godot
Idea is good, and the setting is calm and mysterious.
somehow the controls were laggy for me.
fits the theme well !
Thanks for playing it! yes, I was unable to properly optimize causing so much lag
Nice idea! I think you can add a lot of stuff and mechanics to the game
Thank you, I will try to keep adding to it
Nice idea, but the execution didn't really cut it. The proc gen maps are good to have, but if the algo is not designed to be always solvable then it's just a roll of a die how many level you can beat. Or maybe I was not good enough. Either way, even if the levels would be always beatable the original idea becomes stale pretty quickly. You mentioned in the description the extra features that would have made this game more engaging. Also, the controls are standard, and not even in the good sense. In a totally grid based map, where time is the key, using a pixel-based instead of tile-based movement is just simply annoying.
I would really love to see how this game would look like with a little more time and effort put into it.
Still, you made a playable, original game, that can be played from beginning to the end, so you already achieved even in this limited time what some couldn't. So well done, I'm sure in the next jam your game will be even better.
Thanks for the feedback
Intersting game, haven't seen a concept like this I don't think, this idea has a lot to expand upon. Reminds me of those memes where there are "workers" who set up our levels and have to do it quick enough so that the player doesn't notice. Great job!
Thanks for playing
could use a little polish but i like the idea and had fun blowing (myself &) a couple dungeons up :) thanks for sharing!
thanks for playing
Love the thematic concept of "dungeon cleanup"! Not scouting the map before placing the first bomb turns out to be fatal haha. Sometimes the bomb timer is a bit too short though!
Yeah, I wanted to add stuff like being able to buy eggs that give you more time and potions to replenish your stamina, but the time was just not there :)
