Love this!
Very nice idea and the graphics/sounds are mostly great as well. However I had some difficulty/confusion knowing when I should be switching between the two times. I understood the differences, but definitely when just fighting anything that wasn't the boss, I didn't feel the need to switch to the futuristic version. Nevertheless, I feel like that with a bit more polish this can absolutely be something really cool, great entry imo!
A very nice game I like the mechanic of changing of time
The touhou game + this theme twist was really fun to play. Too much things are overlapping sometimes making it hard to understand what's happening but overall it was really cool.

You made something really amazing out of this concept! The game looks really good (I will leave some tips on the end of the comment) and it sounds nice, I had lots of fun trying it out! I managed to destroy the final boss after 2/3 tries, each learning a bit more about how to counter its attacks!
I enjoyed a lot, you did great! XD
A tip:
I took 2 tries to notice the small blue missiles that the mothership uses at its second phase in the future, because they were a little hard to see..! Maybe adding a more contrasting colour would make it easier ;)
Thank you so much!!! I will also take note of the small orbs that are fired, I agree that they are a little small.
I’m usually not a big fan of arcade-style airplane shooters — they all tend to feel the same to me. But this game completely surprised me. The time travel mechanic adds a really unique twist that kept me hooked way longer than I expected. Instead of just dodging bullets and shooting down endless waves of enemies
I appreciate that a lot! Thank you for playing, I am glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
I learned after making my first shoot 'em up this game jam that making a shoot 'em up is easy; however, making a good shoot em up is difficult. This has a cool time travel mechanic and a boss fight, which is something special considering the timeframe. Great Stuff!
That is really nice of you to say, thank you very much.
Visually, the game is pretty good. Sound ranges from good to meh. The plane shooting sfx is good, but the sound when you get hit is kinda odd. Why is the plane moaning? I wanna say I like the music, except that repeating chord really needs a pause. Enemy placement, especially those bombers, could be adjusted. They fly so low on the screen you don’t get a chance to hit them. I don’t really understand how I could dodge the lasers in space. I also don’t understand when exactly you’re supposed to switch and what for.
Thank you for the feedback! I very much agree about the sound effect for the plane (I made that one myself lol) and the repeating chords. The larger future enemy that shoots the phase laser in space has a circular wind up, which is to signal either to switch back to the past to escape or shoot it before it charges up. There may still be some bugs on that one involved with tracking. The future enemies give more points to scoring and drop powerups (like extra lives) so there is some incentive there if playing for score. Thank you for playing!
It might just be me personally, but the only powerup I realized I got was the shield, otherwise I didn’t understand a lot of what was happening while in space-mode. At first I thought the idea was that you get attacked by both future and present at once but have to shift between to be able to attack the enemies, if space gets more points and powerups, what is the present for?
This is a really cool spin on the arcade game. I love it! Great Job!
Thank you very much! :)
I wanted to take my plucky Spitfire up against the invading aliens!
But I liked this one. Worth exploring some more.
Thank you for playing! That would also be a fun idea worth exploring. Maybe a mix-up mode of some kind!
