As short as it is, it’s genuinely executed well. I wish there were some indication of how to actually progress in the first level. I was faffing about just listening to the music and I was about to quit when I accidentally lit up the ranged attack indicator lmao. Speaking of, I really liked the music!! It was kind of plotting and methodical but also off-kilter with its plays on rhythm and some of its chord changes, which fits the game presentation very well. Please release that track somewhere and send me a link!
Shame this one couldn't be developed as much as you wanted, it really seems like a cool concept!!
This shows so much promise! definitely the most interesting take on the theme imo
The idea for this is really cool! I would love to see an expanded version of this that plays around with the concept more. I almost didn't make it past the tutorial because it wasn't clear to me that I had to hit the symbols with melee + ranged, it might be worth stating on the Itch page that the goal is to hit those two buttons because otherwise they seem like just a graphic indicating the tutorial text.
putting a pin in this concept for later when i have the time to really develop it :3
getting the character controller to function relative to the scale and rotation of a rendertexture viewport was tricky! Even managed to get it so that attacks could hit the player through a surrogate in the viewport to the actual character in "real space". With more time I think this could become a really trippy level mechanic.
