How does your game fit the theme?
So I started with (pun intended) thinking about getting your first job. Then I thought, well what if you're a giraffe and you're disabled because you have super short legs. How difficult would it be then to find a job???
So I found him one, he now holds an official position as a window washer even though he's a bit underqualified. But hey, we all gotta start somewhere right?

Really like the idea! Sadly I believe I am having the same scaling issues as the other commenter, but otherwise I love the premise and the giraffe is really cool! It's a nice unique idea
Thank you! :D
Such a cute and unique idea! I love giraffes, so I'm happy to see more games with giraffes! I would agree with others that the game would benefit with some music or sound effects. I would recommend using public domain music and sound effects you can find on the interest such as on Freesound or Soundcloud.
I agree, giraffes are cool :D Thank you for the resources, I will look into those!
Super cute! The dragging mechanic was fun and unique too!
Thank you so much! :D
Very creative premise for a game!
Unfornately didn't get to enjoy it that much, the lack of polish and a lot of funky bugs I ran into were quite annoying such as the head would sometimes freeze for some reason, it'd also be nice to see the amount of money I have currently for buying upgrades.
I have a lot more to say but I'll leave it at that for now.
I would love to hear the extra feedback you have! PS: Is the money in the top-right not visible for you? It might be a scaling issue, I will look into it after the jam! :D
omg yes! I have a 2k monitor (1440p) and I couldn't see those UI!

I'd suggest stuff that could elevate the gameplay more, such as maybe incorperate the giraffe part more and lean into it, such as maybe ragdoll physics or tiny bit of weight for the head to make it feel more like a giraffe, different types of windows, or give the player the controls for the elevator.
These are just some stuff that I think could make the giraffe part more prominent!
Other than the basic stuff such as Music and SFX, especially with games like this, having a squeaky clean noise (the satisfying ones), would be quite nice, and if a window is fully clean, make it shine to communicate to the player that it is fully clean.
There's a lot more you can do! I believe that you can definitely keep improving as long as you keep trying ✨
Thank you so much! I appreciate all the feedback! I will see what I can implement after the jam :D
This was super cute and I love the idea. Very unique! And it was funny moving the giraffes head around to wash the windows lol. Good job!
Thank you! I appreciate it! :D
This is a really neat idea with nice visuals and decent gameplay. I really like the main mechanic, it's clever. The game could have benefited from some sound/music, and maybe a bit more gameplay variety. Nice job overall!
Thank you! I agree! Do you have any cool suggestions for gameplay variety? I was thinking a soap bucket that you dip your head in and it gives you a buff. Ideas are very welcome!
That's a cool idea! Maybe you could make it so there are certain windows worth more points you need to use a limited supply of soap on, and the soap could be an upgrade in addition. Or perhaps if there were birds which flew past the building which you lost money if you hit, as an obstacle.
The game is a lot of fun, but I missed having some sound. But is a great job!
Thank you, I appreciate it! I will try to plan in some time to add sounds next time :D
Wow, that was creative and cute game! Very well executed game. Good work.
Thank you, I appreciate it! :D
Very cute little game! Loved every second of it, but the sounds were a bit missing, i think if you add those thid will be a super fun time killer!
Thank you! Yes I definitely agree sounds are missing. I didn't plan enough time to search them and then figure out a way to add them to the game. Hopefully I will be able to in future jams!
The Idea and the Game are so cute!
I heard a lot of people here are struggling to find some buttons:
Zoom the browser in, the buttons will reveal themself if zoomed in far enough.
I guess your godot build has a fixed canvas-size which results in the edges getting cutoff.
The game is still fun! ;)
Oh that makes a lot of sense!! Thank you so much! This is probably also something I can fix post-jam :D
hi!! i tried the game and the concept is so cute
Thank you so much!
so cute!!!
Thank you!!
I love the concept! It was so fun to move the giraffe's head around to clean haha~ The screen was cropped for me so I couldn't access the menu or next level after the upgrade screen sadly?
Oof sorry to hear that, this seems to be a common problem, let me check if I can fix this somehow!
I made the itch window bigger by about 100 pixels so I hope you can see the button now!
I have tried just now. But still can't see the button.
(as a side note, I am new to game-jams; how many little changes are we allowed to make to the game after submission? Or is this just an itch setting you needed to change?
That depends on the game jam! Some allow changes only if there is a game-breaking bug, some do allow changes but after the voting period. For me, this was literally a setting in itch I needed to change and didn't change anything to the build so I figured that's fine?
Yeah, I believe changes to the game itch page are certainly allowed.
It sucks you still can't see the button though, I won't be able to fix it unless I change the build
You could consider adding a note to the game page on itch that people can try mobile if they encounter this issue. (by the way, I also do not understand the itch screen sizing thing... I had some issues with my game, but they seem to have disappeared somehow. I made my game in gameMaker and exported as GX.game instead of HTML. this solved the scaling issue for me.)
Very cute little game! Comical and sweet; loved it.
I also had a few crashes in the first menu that miraculously solved themselves? Not sure what that was about but it was cute nonthless!
Thank you so much! I am currently in more jams till the 4th of august but will take a look into those crashes after :D
This game looks hilarious indeed.
Unfortunately, it keeps crashing in the menu after the first level. I tried Firefox and Opera.
Any suggestions?
edit: I really like the art style by the way :)
Aw man I am so sorry to hear that! Thank you for reporting this!
I tried it on Firefox and it doesn't crash for me so I would need to figure out how to take a deeper look at this. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, if you want and are able to, you could try to play it on a mobile device? It works fine for me on there too!
oh and thanks for the compliment! :)
I will try android
it worked on mobile! Very fun game.
I think the issue on my pc is that the scaling of the window is off. The button for more windows is out of view.
I do not know how or if I can reach the button at all.
Ohh that makes sense, thank you! I will look into that! I also very much appreciate that you went through all that effort to try it on mobile :)
I changed the itch window to be about 100 pixels bigger, I hope this resolves the issue with the button being out of screen!
This game is hilarious XD I’m licking those windows clean! Great job with this one :)
Thank you! I appreciate it :)
