Woah, each mechanic was flawlessly implemented, and I really like how the game expects you to master each one of them on every level, the jump and walking sounds and animations are super cute :> I really liked the grapling hook and dash mechanic, althought the cannons reminded me of some Celeste-type levels Overall each lelvel was really fun and seamesly implemented, I wonder what game made out of all those moves combined would have looked like, and also I tried playing with arrow keys and WASD control scheme and both controls worked amazingly well :D 15/15

Super solid submission! I think the thing that I'd like the most is for mechanics to go over from one level to another; the combination would be so nice! Besides that, awesome work :)

This is a really solid game that you could fool me into thinking it's a full one. The visual style is really nice, the sound effects are very fitting, the mechanics all work quite well, it comes together really well all in all. I do wonder if you'll eventually combine all the mechanics to be viable at a time if you continue to expand upon this game. But beyond that I'd certianly be down to see your game be expanded upon to be a full game if that's what you choose to do. Excellent work

This game was great! So cool that you were able to make 10 pretty good levels in 10 days. My favorite mechanics were the grappling hook and helicopter kick. I like how the skills don't transfer over into the levels since it makes me feel like each tutorial is trying to get you to master each thing Tuto can do. If you had more time, I'd love for a level that really put you to the test by allowing all skills! Good job!

This game was SICK I had so much fun with it! I do have a question what you use to make this game with???

Developer

Thanks!! And that's my secret until the end of the jam...

I'm making my guess now then! Turbowarp/Scratch Mostly because My game was made in Turbowarp and I see some similarities

Submitted

Ay jams over, can you tell me now?

Developer

It was made in base Scratch!

Ay I Guessed it! This is really impressive for Scratch! Good Job!

The art and animations were super polished and made the movement very satisfying. It was also fun to get through each of the levels with a new tutorial. I think for me it ended up being more of a display of different platforming mechanics rather than a cohesive game. It would have been cool to have to use all of the different things we learned in the final boss level rather than only the dashing. I still enjoyed the experience and it was a cool submission!

Good game!

The movements are great , and I liked the art.

I liked the abilities but it was kinda disappointing that I can only use only one for each level.

The canon level was the hardest especially the last canon , i kept dying over and over 😂

That's a lot of mechanics! Great gameplay, everything was so fun! I'd only suggest making screen transitions a bit smoother, but that's not much of a problem in this game. Great job!

Art is very good. Very responsive movement. This was an awesome game!

Submitted

Very polished game for your first game jam! I liked the art, mechanics and levels.

the art is really well done and the levels were fun. The cannons were my favourite (i got bambozzled as i didnt know they would spin, so the very first one i got into i shot myself right into the spikes immediately)

Very polished gameplay! I loved the idea of new mechanics ! the way you presented it fits the team super nicely! I got stuck for a while in the helicopter kick room, but that was totally a me issue, hahaha! made me work harder to beat the level! 💪

With some very minor polishing, I could see this as a full release!! Really enjoyed my time playing it! ✨

Loved it. Very fun, very creative, very well put, very adorable.

That was a very fun tutorial! The controls were very well done, I feel like I had a lot of control over my character and the platforming felt very smooth. I do like the large number of abilities created for each level, but I would've preferred some consistency between the levels to use the same keys at least. Otherwise, great mechanics and great visuals!

This game is really on point with the “just get started” theme. Also, it was fun just walking through the level in general!

I love the art, variable jumping, and how smooth the movement feels. I don't really have anything bad to say about this game.

Great game, love the art, and the movement is very good. But if I had to say one thing I would improve is the fact that you die too quickly, in leves where you spawn next to spikes you might die when you respawn because you were pressing left, so I would extend the die black screen.

Never the less it is a great game (I ve played it twice), I just wanted to point a small thing the game could be improved.

amazing little game, am i tweaking or was level 3 or 4 from ablaze ascent?? fantastic, very cute art and character felt fantastic

Your game is absolutely STUNNING, the kirby-like visuals are so cute, and everything else is so on point, the graphics, the sounds, the mechanics, it's all so well-crafted, you did an incredible job my friend, congratulations!

Submitted

I like the idea !! And the art was really cute !

The keys for the new features were a little bit awkward for me to get to. In my case, I would have an easier time if it was shift instead of Z, but the game was still fun !!

Good work :D

Developer

The intended controls are either WASD, J, K, L, or arrow keys and Z, X, and C. WASD and Z is really awkward, if that's the issue. You might have made it way harder on yourself!

Hahaha I think I did
