I had a ton of fun with with, the narration was excellent and I loved that when you lost it was just the grandpa telling you he repeated the story wrong.

The analog art is very charming and the levels get increasingly more ridiculous, which I love.

Small touch that I love is that if you eat gods eyes first he can't shoot lightning bolts at you.

Great stuff.

Good catch! Like every boss fight, even God has a weakness...

Genuinely amazing game! I love the unique mechanics for each level; the Earth one was definitely the hardest.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! The Earth one was also the hardest to code.

Now I am very curious, how do you calculate the gravitational pull for the caterpillar? If you don’t mind sharing a snippet :)

Submitted

The clay snakes where really nice.

Reminds me of a book I read as a kid.

Developer(+1)

Not a coincidence! I’m sure we read the same book.

Love the little clay figures you made! The story was cute, charming and the gameplay was fun! I enjoyed every bit of it :):):)

Developer

Thank you!  I had a lot of fun making the little figures.

Such a cool use of the analog wild card. Art and music feel great as well as the gameplay, even if its simple. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! I’d never made analog art or music for a game before, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

A very cute take on snake that's also surprisingly difficult

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

Great use of the wildcards and funny storytelling! Also loved the ability to eat the "danger" in the last level

Developer

I'm glad you picked up on that! The boss has a weakness, but I didn't telegraph it very well.

Submitted

even god fears the hungriest caterpillar.

this was peak storytelling! i love how each level was a unique gag. this had so much charm to it.

Developer

Thanks! When I started coding the game, I never imagined that "EAT GOD" would be the final level...

This was actually such a cute lil game, I enjoyed playing it and loved the little back and forth between the grandpa and the kid, it was really wholesome!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

You're welcome!

Really fun game! I loved how every time you messed up it was like a kid interrupting the story. So well done. I did find the gravity level a little frustrating to control, though maybe that was the point.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words. The gravity level was the most complicated, mechanically, and not quite what I hoped it would be.

Very cool! I really thought grampa was super funny with how he talked! Good Job, the art was super cool!

Developer

Thank you! I had a lot of fun making this

Very cute and creative idea! I really liked the different gravity part, and the story is pretty funny. I liked it a lot!

Developer

Thank you!

Super cute, loved the clay art and the story behind it. Ate my own tail a bunch

Developer

You ate you own tail? No, never happened!

Submitted

Loved the art lol! Unique spin on snake, the apple level felt pretty difficult if you didn't get good bug spawns!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! If I had tome to do this again, I'd try to un-randomize the bug spawns.

Submitted

This was very well done. Great use of both wildcards! I really liked the different mechanics for each level.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

LOVE ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS GAME! This is my favorite game out of many jams I have seen

Grampa is so funny btw

Developer

Thanks! I was delighted when he appeared out of my Play-Dough

Amazing game! Your take on the theme and use of the wildcards is exceptional. Brought me back to reading "the very hungry little caterpillar" to my kids. The grampa reminds of  my folklore game.

Not just was the story/theme/ambiance great, but the gameplay/controls/art/sound excellent as well. Best game I have played so far!

Thanks for submitting

Thank you for the very kind words!

Absolutely incredible job with the art. I loved it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I loved making the art. It's outside my comfort zone, skill wise...

Such a cute silly game. I really love the characters and the dialogue made me laugh :D

I certainly didn't eat my own tail :D
Very funny game, great work.

Developer(+1)

Of course you didn't! Never happened. Let me start over...
