Transparency note
Pre-jam (3–4 days before the jam):
I followed a course on how to make an RPG game in JavaScript, which you can find here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYx885hX0OY

During the jam:
I coded the game using HTML, CSS and added music and images.
One of the music tracks was made by me, while the others are free tracks I found on Itch.io (the same goes for the art!)

using the secret minigame i found, i was able to farm gold which i used to buy weapons and an insane amount of HP. the dragon died in 2-3 hits. i still found a bug (or is it a feature???) where the weapons you unlock are still visible in your inventory, regardless of whether you died or not, even though dying means losing all your items. it's a pretty fun game :D

Developer

Thanks for playing!. I actually just realized that bug (the weapons are supposed to reset when you press the restart button.)

Thanks for pointing it out!. I’m planning to fix it after the jam.

I beat the game!! Great job making this game, I had a lot of fun crushing the dragon with 600HP!

Developer

Thank you!! Really happy you enjoyed it 🤩

This game reminded me of the games i use to play a lot in the early 2000s. Loved that flash back.

Developer

Thank you so much! I really wanted to capture that retro vibe.

Hi! Due to a new rule about transparency, you need to update your jam entry and fill a new field “Transparency note”. If you don’t fill the transparency info in 24 hours, we will have to remove your entry.

This will help the jam remain fair.
