Neat! Unfortunate that the web version doesn’t allow to pull other player’s ghosts. I hope Godot that at some point
I'm very late in responding, but that's actually not a Godot issue. We just didn't want to deal with figuring out certificates in that environment during the jam itself. From what I hear though, it probably wouldn't have been all that difficult.
Nice job! Honestly impressive yall were able to get multiplayer in any capacity working like that in 48 hours. I think some sort of indicator of where to go and a small amount of in air control would be great, but I had a good time with it!
Nice game :)
I'm soooooo bad! HAHAHA! Great job! Nice theme integration!
Wow! Impressive! Nice car physics, really fit in this cartoonish style!
Really cool game! controls are very enjoyable
I really like it. It gives me the old RC Cars / Micro Machine vibes. Also, bonus brownie points for the custom CSS! :D
This game is sick - I like all of the branching paths on the track... curious what the "optimal" route would be. It's very fun at its core. Great entry.
I believe the optimal route is actually to veer off track and abuse the physics bug that lets you speed up indefinitely when jumping in the right rhythm. Outside of that, I honestly do not know. There are a couple of shortcuts I can never pull off right, but my team mate has a better handle on that.
Thank you for playing and taking the time to give feedback!
This is a neat concept! It reminds me of Phantom Abyss with that racing other player’s ghost mechanics, which I think is a super cool space to play with. I don’t know if I’m really bad at the game or the game is just really hard haha but I definitely struggled to get anywhere useful. Still, this looks great and seems like it could be awesome!
For me it's Team Losi's RC Racer - though I haven't played that in about 25 years or so.
The car controller definitely is a sore spot. On one hand the difficulty can make fun, but I think it also could be a lot better. But that's a jam game I suppose. Thank you for playing!
I am awful at racing games but this is excellent fun for the little that I played! The car controls are really enjoyable even if it is impossible for me to keep it on the track :D
We originally planned for the non-track ground to slow the player down even more, but it turned out to be too difficult to stay off of it, even for us. I'm glad you had fun!
Really cool & fun implementation of the theme !
The driving feels pretty good.
Great job !
Thank you! It's pretty much based on the physics enabled sphere style, which made implementing it very easy.
OOH really cool :D I'm terrible at keeping it on the track, notoriously bad at racing games, but really nice job! Really clean design :)
I like to think the car is notoriously bad at staying on track :'D
Hahaha maybe, but really fun, crazy to see so many games made in 48 hours and such different concepts, I feel like it would take me forever to make a racing game, great job again!!
Very fun to speedrun, my fastest time was around 25 seconds!
25 seconds? Please tell me you played with the windows build, I want to check out that run!
I did play the windows build! I found an exploit where you gain momentum by jumping continuously on flat ground :D
Ah yes, the bunny hop! I can't say it's in there on purpose, but I also didn't want to deal with working out a fix
Bet that's a fun one to watch :D
