Nope - I've completed at least one game jam before.

How does your game fit the theme?
It's about gathering missing parts to just get the rocket started :-P

cool platformer! i liked the concept and end goal to build the rocket. nice job!

I think the idea has legs actually, the idea of going around a map and rebuilding a rocket (or adding to it) is a fun and interesting idea!

If I was to change something it would be the camera, at the moment the camera is position so the character is at the bottom of the screen, you really want your character in the middle so when your falling down you have an opportunity to see what is under you

jump sound was incredibly annoying, but otherwise its a good idea

Cute idea but there are a lot of glaring issues with the gameplay loop and the details of the game. The jump sound plays constantly while in the air instead of when the player actually jumps, which makes it incredibly grating to listen to. The physics feel very slow and unforgiving in certain sections, which could be to the strength of a game, but it really just felt like getting anywhere was taking too long for me to really be enjoying anything. Jumps aren't buffered, which means that you can fall when it feels like you shouldn't be able to, and overall the game design feels like it's lacking to some degree.

I like the idea that your character moves differently while carrying an object. It makes getting to a rocket part and bringing it back to the rocket two different challenges. It seems like the icy part only moves the character to the right? Or was it meant to be wind, instead of ice? Overall cool little game, well done :)

Hey thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a comment! Yeah, the part you’re talking about is supposed to be ice - due to my limited technical skills and knowledge I wasn’t able to make it slip to both sides in the time I had but I’m happy that you actually felt the difference in the challenge when going to get a part and then when bringing that part back to the rocket. Aganin, thanks for playing!
