Very straight forward and simple to understand! I like the combination of 2D and 3D

Nice game !!!
I love this kind of game where you’re a lil guy foraging and fleeing :)
Maybe a visual indicator of the number of ingredients you’re carrying would be nice ?
And also, I dunno if I’m plain bad or hyperactive, but after going to 19 I felt like I did a good score and died and my soup was bad :O
I am full of sorrow.

love the atmosphere you've created and the time pressure around the game, wish it was just a bit more user-friendly (not good at remembering spots of ingredients) but I can see how that is part of the experience of your game as well

The atmosphere was done very well! The gameplay is easy to understand, though it wasn’t immediately clear that you could only carry three ingredients, I thought I encountered a bug at first (writing instructions and things like that in the description is a bit of a cop out, at least put it as text in the main menu; this is a game jam after all, not a description jam). I also think the sound, and particularly the music didn’t match the atmosphere very well, but I understand that not everyone has the skills or time (oooh time is the enemy, roll credits, absolute cinema) to make music or sounds themselves - though you can at least use SFXR to make 8bit sound effects incredibly easily. Ultimately, you came out with quite a polished product with a decently unique concept, and the use of the limitation is done very well, having enemies take away your available time was a great idea, why didn’t I think of that! Very well done, I can see this winning the jam! :)

Developer

Wow thank you!

Your feedbacks really good and i'll definitely take it into account for future jams/projects. Ive never heard of SFXR before but i'll have to check it out

Quick bug fix update has been made to fix the restart button not working. Thanks to everyone who pointed it out!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the stealth mechanic and exploration with the light / wall thing, I ran into a few bugs, one of them I think was when replaying the game it got stuck and I had to reload the page, and the arrow with ingredients didn't show until there was like 5 ingredients left, it's also easy to get lost, I think a map would be great.

Developer(+1)

Ty! Yeah I didn't know about the reload bug until I read a previous comment but i'm working on fixing that. The arrow is accauly intentionally hidden until your near the end to allow you to find the last few ingredients easier.

The map suggestion is a good idea

I like the style!

The atmosphere is very cool, kinda reminded me of darkwood with the 2d+3d and creepy vibes of the music. Appreciate the sprout representation. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks alot!

Really cool, I appreciated the lighting and 3d effect paired with the music. Gave off such a unique vibe !

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it!

I think this game really shines once you get a lot of the clocks out of their starting position and you can really sneak around them effectively. Being able to just go beyond their line of sight and quickly grab an ingredient without them seeing you feels great in combination with the overall tone the game is going for. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

The game is rally cool I must say nice atmosphere it would be great that there is visual cue to show number of things and also that I am collecting the thing at First i was confused that what to collect and even if I am collecting it or not. Rather than this, a pretty good game

Developer

Ty! Seems you weren't the only one with that issue, something that i'll keep in mind for next time.

Submitted(+1)

This game is really cool! I like the concept and the art is amazing! I would enjoy the game more if I had visual cues to show the number of things I'd picked up- took a second to realize those were the ingredients I could get and I didn't know when my arms were 'full' and I couldn't get more. And then having more of a visual effect when I put them into the soup pot would be cool! The clocks were very unforgiving haha. This game also felt like the easter egg hunt in Stardew Valley, which I LOVE! Oh and I might add a small map somewhere to indicate how to get back to the soup pot. :) Thanks for making this!

Developer

Thanks, thats some great feedback!

This game is great! I love that time is quite literally, the enemy. I like the music combined with the dark and mysterious ambience, it made for a very fun experience!

If you decide to continue development of this game, I think abilities for the player that you slowly unlock might be a really fun mechanic!

Developer

Thanks!

I'm not sure if I will continue development, but I do agree that abilities would be a fun thing

Love the music and the theme, the dark vibes.

It's very fun, it's a shame that it doesn't work on restart.

Great game!

Developer

Thanks

I uh may of forgot to test that lol, i'll fix that and update it soon

Great vibes! The contrast between the relaxing forest vibes and "Your soup sucked" made me laugh

Developer

Glad I was able to make you laugh lol

Nice atmosphere, I really enjoyed wandering through the maze

Incredible style! I really liked the music, and at first I thought the walls were shadows.

I liked how the different parts (music, design, and art) came together to create a good atmosphere.

The only thing, perhaps, was that it became a little more chaotic at the end.

Developer

Thanks!

Developer(+1)

It seems I'm not a very good cook.
The shadows, limited vision, and soundtrack establish a really neat atmosphere - cool entry!

Developer

Thanks!
