Absolute Cinema. Where Are We/7
love the style and gameplay, very reminiscient of undertale and i love it :)
Very charming and silly game ✨

This game was very enjoyable from beginning to end, the dialogues and characters are awesome, even the side characters a great. Really nailed the aesthetic and vibe of the game, from art to music even SFX, it's all amazing!
During combat I just felt so OP haha, but I guess that's just what happens in game jams.
Overall would love to see a continuation, very neat game keep it up!
Thank you so much, man! Yeah the combat levels can either be seen as too easy or an amazing parallel to real-life improvement and practice - you decide which is true hahahaha!
I love the visuals and music, and the game really reminds me of Inindo, another turn-based RPG game I used to play on my SuperNintendo!
"Nothing to sea here". Liked the graphics and the animations, a pretty unique idea Id say. The game fits the theme well (with the help from our skull friend). The controls were a little weird but that didnt stop me from enjoying this game. Great job!
Thank you!!!
i really liked this, super polished earthbound style rpg with super satisfying combat. the game jam was a really fun final test with all the different mechanics. should be super proud of yourself!
means a lot to me, dude! :D
Oh my goodness this game was SO CHARMING!!! earthbound mentioned XD I loved it so much and you definitely nailed the old-school RPG vibe. The game had so much personality and the humor was top-notch. overall amazing job!
Bro made Undertale 2 in 10 days...
Great RPG with 10/10 references ! And very polished (even tho it's not finished)
That means so much to me, super happy that you liked it hahaha!
Dude you absolutely cooked with that, only thing I'd wish is if there was some way to see what each move did, Like I assume heal pulse healed the whole party, if I missed something that's my mistake but the whole thing felt like trial and error. But due to the simplicity of moves it was very easy to figure out later on. Plus you could get away with the whole "It's a feature" thing if the whole "trial and error" gimmick is what you're going with which ties in with the whole meta commentary (I think i used that word right, forgive me if I didn't).
Aside from that very minor thing I think as of right now this is my favorite submission so far! It's got catchy music, fun characters, great sound, and terrific writing. My favorite part was definingly the sign at the end all the stuff it said really hit deep and it genuinely so freaking awesome that you were able to make something this cool in 10 days I love it!
Keep making games, keep being a creator and keep creating inspiration. Perhaps someone who's never made a game before might play this and make that transition from consumer to creator.
PS: (haha really sneaky there with the inbound shovel pun, I see what you did there bucko)
ohh i maybe kinda just teared up a little uhmm
thank you so much, I'll take your feedback from the first paragraph to heart and I'm super happy that you felt that way!!
Hello! I'll write a proper review when I've finished playing, but I'll just pop a note of this down now, while it's in recent memory: there's a softlock in the transition area between the guitar realm and development hell, exactly where I'm standing in the image.![]()
Not sure why the image didn't send. I'll try attaching it again.![]()
...I'll just ping you on Discord.
I won! eheheheh
That was splendid, loved the writing and humour, the typing attack was such a nice touch! great job!!
(I loved the little water dispenser in the first area, reminded me of my darkest jam hours, those things are hell to draw!)
edit: forgot to comment about the music: SUCH A BOP! loved it, really well fitting!
Super thankful for your commert, that means a lot to me!! Especially that you liked the music and writing!!!! (I feel honored that someone with such an excellent water cooler in their game liked mine :O)
OK, others mentioned the level up messages not being batched etc. I also got stuck on the purple wall in the Scope Creep level, and the EXIT button in menu didn't work.
That aside, good MESSAGE, which I feel like a lot of games lack right now. A soul. The last boss was spot on. Wish I got to play with Godity more, because I was going to try my hand at Godity tonight but this game got in the way haha. Or I'm using it as a excuse for my procrastination.
Still - In the words of a bass youtuber... Epico!
Thank you! Good to know, though the exit button usually just closes the game at the moment and it not working could be due to the web version. Epico!
This is not a game, it's a documentary!

1000 xp for the game jam eh? After clicking those pesky level up messages I hope there is another nice outro scene/talk...
Solid submission - I think I saw some similarities to already existing games, although I did not play those.
Was the design intended that each encounter rewards a level up or was this a produce of random numbers left unchecked/tested due to timing reasons?
Good luck on the post-jam updates!
Great question! It's sort of a mixture. I would have loved to do some more balancing, as the combat can simply be spammed as of now and xp-rewards are far too high. The biggest factor is definitely a lack of time left over for that. But it does fit the theme of working towards your goals and seeing results of your labor, so it's sort of like an "it's not a bug, it's a feature" type deal, haha. The constant level up messages do annoy me as well though. I just didn't want the final encounter to have little xp, and since there's nothing but a thank-you screen afterwards, i just gave it 1000.
That‘s insane for 10 days! The combat is fun altough a bit easy (but i totally understand that it‘s a game jam game, my game is quite easy too). I absolutely love the art and the skeleton guy, it‘s all so fun and whimsical. The fakeout at the end was genuinly unexpected and was the highlight of the game for me. Really great job here, you made something awesome!
my only feedback is a very small nitpick that probably happened to no one else: it‘s that since i have a azerty keyboard the key minigame was a little bit messed up (if you‘re using godot, consider switching to physical keys for your inputs!)
Thank you, dude!! That's a super helpful tip, I'll definitely look into that!!!
Very intuituitive and cool game! The dialogues, even for NPCs, are very cool and make me wanna play even more. The background sounds mach very well the whole vibe and theme, so thats a plus! It would be nice to add some stuff to the battle and maybe a possibility to have a more challenge boss! Great work!
Thank you! Totally agree with you on that, thanks for the feedback!
Cool game! Bold choice to use Godot for this type of games, but that makes it even cooler:) I liked general concept, and how dialogues are written, graphics are also good! I would say that the battle system is toooooo easy... you can just spam first action and complete the game, but still I liked all the extra details you've put in there!
I don’t think I’ve ever played Pokémon, but this seems very similar to what I heard about Pokémon, except with a nice twist.
And thanks to not being time-based (except for the typing, which I’m terrible at) the combat wasn’t overwhelming for me and instead was quite fun.
Great to hear! Happy that it's accessible enough
Just to be clear, I don’t have any medical issue with stress, like some epilepsy or something, but I always get extremely uncomfortable when playing or even watching others play stressful games.
yeah totally get that! (also if anyone with epilepsy issues played this, the game would probably have a body count)
omg. its so polished its crazy. defo one of my top games ive played this jam.
wish the combat was a bit more indepth tho, such as lowering defense on the enemy or guarding but i totally get it considering the short deadline.
completely awesome and so silly. loved it
