That effect was probably caused by me making the player's position the centre of the sprite and not the bottom of the sprite.

I'll probably either add an indicator or just boost the base attack speed, thanks for the feedback!

Fun gameplay, liked combining all of the different arm types, only thing is that I think there should probably be some form of progression, as it gets repetitive a bit quick.

Wanted to try and make a trial and error aspect, perhaps if I was to expand on the game I could add a bestiary or something that gives you little bits of info on each type of enemy.

Purple dudes as in the priests or the instakill guys? My friend who was the artist tried to exclusively use purple for highly threatening enemies, as purple stands out from the rest of the colour palette. So the purple enemies naturally pique the player's interest (in theory), and they will probably target them first. Tried to make the priests stress inducing, as soon as they are alive they are on a countdown before they cast their beam on you, so it's a frantic chase to get to them before they cast their spell, and most likely kill you. For the hunters, they try to predict where you are moving and corner you, and their stakes are imbued with a special magic that allows them to make the target bleed out instantly. Maybe wasn't conveyed very well through gameplay, but thought it was still a cool idea in concept.

Will probably boost fire rate, that's a common piece of criticism. Thanks for playing!

Combat felt good, feel like death animations could be nice though, as the enemies just disappearing felt a bit dissatisfying.

Decent idea, although I was really confused on what I was meant to do, the hitbox was a bit wonky aswell, often got stuck on things.

I wasn't too sure how to make damage more apparent, could add subtle screenshake or impact frames or something? With the blood droplets it's easiest to get them while the enemy is dying, as they spray out a bunch of them during their death animation. If there aren't any other enemies nearby you can actually just stand on top of them and get a bunch of free health. The grenade is also great for getting blood fast, you can bomb a big horde of enemies and stand underneath them, there are also stationary enemies later in the game that are basically free blood sources.

Was planning to either boost the base attack speed or add upgrades to your attack speed at some point, thanks for playing!

Incredibly trippy, took me a while to adjust to the disorienting camera but once I did it was really fun zooming through everything. Really like the psx / low poly graphic style and the music is equally as disorienting as the gameplay lol! The voice acting was also very good. Well done!

Art is beautiful, gameplay is really fun but also really difficult! But I was also guilty of making mine really difficult lol

Very satisfying, and I liked how you got less time and less ammo the further you got, made you actually plan things out.

Oh dear, you can maybe ask to swap with somebody else?

Cool narrative! The combat was terrifying aswell, especially with the sound effects.

I like the method of casting spells!

Interesting concept, the art is really pretty, reminds of hollow knight for some reason. I like the mechanics with the cages, well done! Only thing I'd say is in the early game it's a bit difficult to kill any of the enemies as you need to lure them in front of the towers.

Awesome game for a first game jam! I got a little too ambitious and died when I took a big contract, made it to wave 8. The draining HP is really fun!

Very confusing but I like the potential!

I loved the strategy behind the turn based combat, really made you have to think ahead!

The gimmick is very cool, I got stuck on the 4th one I think? I'm not great at puzzle games lol.

The micromanagement is awesome, super overwhelming. I managed to guess 100 on the dot though so I'm happy!

I really like the idea of having to manipulate where your clone moves, although it can be a bit janky getting it set up, still really creative!

Really liked all of the puzzles, and the music was really good, really added to the urgency!

Really like the sound design and the aesthetic of the game. The idea behind the gameplay is cool, however I think that the platforming is a bit janky. Impressive for 4 days though!

Thanks for playing it!

why is elvis a vampire

I liked how you had to time the parries, and the bullet patterns were fun to dodge. Although the last boss was a massive step up in difficulty compared to the rest.

Puzzles were really creative, I liked the sunlight mechanics.

Amazing game, bad piggies-esque. I loved building on my ship each time, and this is actually one of the first jam games I've played all the way to the end! Really fun!

Very fun and hectic game, I like the micromanagement involved. Only thing I'd say is I think there should be some way to discard food, because if I had made something the kraken didn't want there was no way I could put it down. Apart from that though, very fun!

Would be a really great mobile game, however I really couldn't do anything with the mouse, it was impossible lol. I ended up getting too frustrated, but could just be a skill issue on my part.

I found it very satisfying to treat it like a rhythm game and hit each key on the beat, very fun!

The game is really fun, love the artstyle, reminds me of an NES game. The music is really nice, and I like the panic that the count down creates. One thing though, are the enemies invincible? I shot them over and over and they never seemed to die.

I really like the combat and sound design, feels very satisfying. Although I think the movement could use some improvement, most of my deaths came from the platforming.

Gameplay was very fun, I liked the ground slam mechanic. Although the music was a little hard to listen to and the sound that played when finishing a run wasn't very pleasant.

I'm not too sure what you mean? You can shoot while standing still aswell, if you just press the arrow key to shoot in that direction. If you're speaking about the grenade yeah you can only fire that in the direction you are moving.

Idea's neat, gameplay felt a bit shallow though.

Game's really fun. Unfortunately I'm ass and couldn't get past the first duel lol.

I was struggling to find a way to balance the difficulty of the game, and the round lengths were part of that. I didn't want them feeling so long that they were boring, or too short that it wouldn't be that intense. I might consider tweaking things after the jam, things like this just need loads of feedback and playtesting. Thanks for playing though!
