How did you implement the theme?
uh... i couldn't think of a way to implement theme.. so i didn't. I guess the gun boots are a cheap copy of downwell?

How did you add the special object?
there is umbrella

Hell yeah, this is really fun. I'm sure I just need to git gud etc. but coyote time would have helped some of the otherwise very smooth platforming.

nice game, i played with keyboard so it was a lot harder that i thought it would be. i noticed that it isn't any sound, but still it was kinda fun to play.

Love this game, has to be one of my favorites so far. The messages were so neat and personal. The mechanics were wonderful with it being an umbrella, enemy bats, shooting and bouncing mushrooms. It felt very smooth to play. Not sure if there’s music or not? But honestly the silence made it kinda nice in a way. Very nice game jam here! All for it, hope you get a high rating.

I love it! The movement feels smooth. And i did it all with a keyboard >:)

The witty messages are awesome. Need I say more...?

No but seriously, love the aesthetic of the game — feels like a well done combo of Downwell and Cave Story, which is great, because I like those games as much as your friend likes Mario 64.

With all that said,

there is umbrella

No, no it wasn't

especially like the neat tutorial, explained very well.

This is great! I suck at platformers so this was challenging for me, but I had a good time learning the controls

GREAT FUCKING GAME(lol)! I love the text you added, and the Platforming feels good and responsive, i liked the easter egg with the black box.

Good job!

Best umbrella platformer I’ve played in the jam so far.

I like how you built up the difficulty and scattered those messages through the level. You kept things interesting.

Totally missing sound effects though. Not sure if that’s a bug or just ran out of time, but some basic audio for jumps and movement would add a ton. I usually just toss in placeholder sounds from freesound.org™ while building so I don’t forget.

Hope you get that audio in someday, I'd definitely come back and try to finish the last stretch with an update like that!

Very good game I like it

Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food? As a human being possessing reprehensible platforming skills, I like that the main character has an expression as though they are fully aware of the fact that all of their dexterity and poise is under the control of a rubber thumbed degenerate that plays a lot of farming sims. The combination of mechanics is fun, and I quite like the way text appears as you play. I didn't notice the first couple lines of text, and it made me stop and go back to see the bits I missed. Good stuff
